FAUCI: It Is ‘Entirely Conceivable’ That We Will Need More Boosters

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci joined ABC’s “This Week” to say that it was “entirely conceivable” people may need additional booster shots in order to fight Covid-19.

The disgraced director of the NIAID began the segment in a seemingly optimistic manner, even saying that the latest wave of Covid-19 cases appears to be trending in the “right direction” in the United States.

“Things are looking good. We don’t want to get overconfident, but they look like they’re going in the right direction right now,” Fauci told anchor Martha Raddatz on ABC’s “This Week.”

“If the pattern follows the [downwards] trend that we’re seeing in other places, such as the northeast, I believe that you will start to see a turnaround throughout the entire country,” Fauci said, before engaging in a typical faucian bout of fearmongering.

“Since it’s a large country and a great deal of variation in the degree of vaccinations that we have in one region compared to another … there may be a bit more pain and suffering with hospitalizations in those areas of the country that have not been fully vaccinated or have not gotten boosters.”

The public health “expert” then said he hopes that infection levels in the next few weeks lower to levels of what he calls an “area of control.”

“Control means you’re not eliminating it, you’re not eradicating it, but it gets down to such a low level, that it’s essentially integrated into the general respiratory infections that we have learned to live with,” he said, before strangely suggesting that the achievement of such goals would bring some degree of normal life back, although seemingly not all of it.

“We’d like it to get down to that level, where it doesn’t disrupt us in the sense of getting back to a degree of normality. That’s the best-case scenario.”

Fauci also warned during the interview that life as we once knew it may still be out of reach and suggested that perpetual boosters may be a necessity.

“We may need to boost again,” opined Fauci during the segment. “That’s entirely conceivable, but before we make that decision about yet again another boost, we want to determine clearly what the durability of protection is of that regular boost, that third shot that we’re talking about.”
