FEAR SPREADING: 1 in 5 Americans Now Expect to Be Inflicted with Chinese Coronavirus

A survey conducted by StudyFinds has found that 1 in 5 Americans now expect to catch the Chinese coronavirus as the pander that has forced society to shutter almost completely continues to pick up steam
Their study of 502 people showed that 19.32 percent of respondents indicated that they think they will contract the coronavirus at some point. Nearly 10 percent of respondents actually think they are carrying the coronavirus right now. 20 percent of respondents ages 18-29 and 18 percent of those with the ages of 30-45 think they are currently carrying the coronavirus.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is urging people who believe they are infected to contact a doctor immediately.
“If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider for medical advice,” they write on their official website.
Even though hysteria is at an all-time high, reports have indicated that the upcoming improvement in weather may slow down or end the pandemic that is causing mass hysteria:
A case study by a team of Chinese academics suggests that warm weather and humidity do deter the spread of the coronavirus, a development that could prove to be a welcome relief for nations afflicted with the disease as they approach the warmer spring and summer months.
The study, titled “High Temperature and High Humidity Reduce the Transmission of COVID-19,” involved analysis of coronavirus diagnoses in various cities across China. Researchers examined the intensity of outbreaks in climates ranging in heat and humidity levels.
Their summary of results describes the effects of climate on transmission of the disease in clear terms.
“We find, under a linear regression framework for 100 Chinese cities, high temperature and high relative humidity significantly reduce the transmission of COVID-19.”
The scholars even go on as to state that coming summer climates in the northern hemisphere will deter spread of the disease, although it’s hard to qualify to exact extent.
A weakness to warm climate would place the coronavirus in a similar category to other viral diseases, such as influenza. It’s long been known that warm and hot climates are not favorable for the spread of disease.
“It indicates that the arrival of summer and rainy season in the northern hemisphere can effectively reduce the transmission of the COVID-19.”
The panic coming from the coronavirus pandemic and the mass media coverage surrounding it may be overblown if this study is true. Nevertheless, the fear is being felt among the public as they are increasingly sequestered from society.
