Federal Whistleblower was Ignored by Obama Officials after Calling Foul on Hunter Biden’s Ukraine Deal in 2015

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State George Kent blew the whistle in 2015 about Hunter Biden’s shady deals in the Ukraine with the gas company Burisma Holdings, but his concerns were swept under the rug by Obama administration officials.
According to the Washington Post, Kent testified behind closed doors this week to Congressional committees where he confirmed that he had concerns about the foreign business dealings of Vice President Joe Biden’s son.
Biden infamously bragged about using his political power to strong-arm the Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was looking into the deal between his son and the Ukrainian gas firm.

Hunter even admitted during a recent interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America” that he would not have likely received the cushy $50,000-per-month position without any experience in the energy sector if not for his crony connections.

According to his testimony, Kent was worried that Hunter’s deal with Burisma could harm diplomatic relations with Ukraine, and also cited conflict of interest concerns over the deal. He also believed that Hunter’s position would give Ukrainian officials the impression that he was a direct channel to his influential father and perhaps the White House.
After Kent formally brought up the issue, his fellow staffers at the Secretary of State reportedly “blew him off” and brushed his concerns aside. The staff claimed they didn’t have the “bandwidth” to deal with the matter due to Hunter’s now-deceased older brother Beau, who was fighting cancer at the time.
Biden’s presidential campaign denies that their candidate committed any impropriety, despite his public admission of threatening to withhold aid money to Ukraine, and puts all of the blame on President Donald Trump.
“Donald Trump’s unprecedently corrupt administration is melting down because of the scandal he touched-off by trying to get Ukraine to lie about Joe Biden–and as the vice president said yesterday, he should release his tax returns or shut up,” a Biden campaign spokesperson said to Fox News.
“On Joe Biden’s watch, the U.S. made eradicating corruption a centerpiece of our policies toward Ukraine including achieving the removal of an inept prosecutor who shielded wrongdoers from accountability,” they added.
However, former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin denies that he was inept and testified in a sworn affidavit for the European court that he was fired at the behest of the former Vice President.
“The truth is that I was forced out because I was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into Burisma Holdings, a natural gas firm active in Ukraine and Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, was a member of the Board of Directors,” Shokin wrote in his testimony.
“On several occasions President Poroshenko asked me to have a look at the case against Burisma and consider the possibility of winding down the investigative actions in respect of this company but I refused to close this investigation,” Shokin added.
As the Democrats move forward on impeaching President Trump for alleged misdeeds regarding the Ukraine, their hypocrisy could not be more blatant in lieu of the crooked behavior of the Biden family.
