Florida GOP Senate Leader is Thankful for Receiving Money from Gun-Grabbing Ghouls like Everytown for Gun Safety
AWR Hawkins reported that the incoming Florida Senate President Bill Galvano is “grateful” for Everytown for Gun Safety donating to his political committee.
Gun control oligarch and 2020 Democrat presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg funds Everytown. According to a Tampa Bay Times report, the group donated $200,000 to Galvano’s committee.
Galvano supported gun control in the wake of the February 14, 2018, Parkland high school massacre, voting for SB 7026. That bill “raised the minimum age a person is allowed to buy a gun, created a three-day waiting period to buy any firearm,” and banned bump stock sales as well.
The Senate President defended his support for gun control and thanked Everytown, saying, “I will make no apologies for the responsible steps we took in a bipartisan manner in the wake of the worst school shooting in our state’s history. I have made it clear that as Senate president I will continue to advocate for increased safety and security in our schools. I am grateful for the support.”
The NRA’s Marion Hammer chimed in on Galvano’s support for gun control and his giddiness of taking money from Everytown:
“Incoming Florida Senate President Bill Galvano calls himself a Republican but is rumored to be the one who colluded with anti-gun Democrats to engineer the gun control package included in SB-7026 this past session. SB-7026 contained three major gun control provisions and was rammed down the throats of Senate and House Republican legislators. … Looks like our Second Amendment Rights were sold for a large contribution from anti-gun former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.”
Additionally, the Florida Department of State Division of Elections revealed that Galvano also received a hefty $300,000 donation from Everytown.
This elicited a comment from America First Congressman Matt Gaetz on Twitter.
Gaetz stated, “Republicans. Taking money from Bloomberg. In Florida. To pass gun control. No. No. No.”

Republicans like Galvano are playing with fire.
The Left is serious and they’re ready to not just go after so-called assault weapons, but also attack the overall right to bear arms.
To win in this battle, gun rights activists must be willing to expose Republicans like Galvano, who are helping the Left advance their anti-gun schemes.
