For The First Time, Elon Musk Will Vote Republican

Elon Musk, who is currently registered as an independent voter, believes the Democrats have gone too far left in recent years. Ultimately leading the party away from moderate and middle-left-leaning voters due to increased radicalization.

Now, according to a report from Newsweek, Musk is so fed up with Democrats that he is planning to vote Republican for the first time ever in the next election.

“I have voted overwhelmingly for Democrats, historically,” Musk acknowledged. “Like I’m not sure, I might never have voted for a Republican, just to be clear.”

“Now this election I will,” he added.

As Newsweek noted, it is unclear whether Musk was referring to voting for a GOP candidate in the 2022 midterms or the 2024 presidential election. But either way, it’s safe to say Musk realizes things aren’t working out too well for Americans under Democrat leadership. It’s time to change it up.

These comments come after Musk has been critical of the Democratic party and left-wing policies publicly over the past two years.

For example, in July of 2020, Musk began separating himself from the party based on the confidence and support he saw from the left for the attacks on America; referring to all the riots, looting, and “bizarre” events from Democrats in power.

In another example, one of Musk’s most memorable tweets was when he said, “take the red pill.” Which sent particular leftists into a frenzy because those words (a scenario originally from the film “The Matrix”) are often used to symbolize a former liberal now embracing conservative philosophy.

In other words, some Americans speculated that Musk was trying to sway frustrated Democrats to vote red by his tweet.

As an opinion piece in Fox News explained “red-pilling” in 2017:

“People of all ages and ethnicities are posting YouTube videos describing “red pill moments”—personal awakenings that have caused them to reject leftist narratives imbibed since childhood from friends, teachers, and the news and entertainment media.”

Some people are saying Musk has been “red-pilled” thanks to Joe Biden and his failed policies. But as the billionaire has explained himself via Twitter, his shift in thought and where he stands politically have been a gradual change over the past ten-plus years.

In the tweet below, Musk shared a graphic showcasing just how much the Left has changed over the years in relation to himself and the Right.

According to Musk, the Democrat party has changed so much since 2008, that by design, he has become a Republican simply because the left is so far gone.

They are becoming far more radical and less reasonable than ever before – completely alienating moderate and middle-left-leaning voters.
