Former French Secret Service Director Believes Mass Migration is a Threat to “Civil Peace”
Pierre Brochand, the former head of France’s secret service, recently warned that uncontrolled mass migration is the principal issue in France that “threatens civil peace.”
Paul Joseph Watson of Summit News noted that Brochand served as the director of the General Directorate for External Security (DGSE) from 2002 and 2008.
Brochand made these remarks during a speech before the French Senate. He declared that mass migration has generated “a cross-cutting impact on all of our collective life, which I consider to be generally negative.”
While he said that immigration is not intrinsically “evil,” Brochand noted that the “very particular immigration that we have been subjected to for 50 years” has led to a “creeping third-worldization of French society.” In addition, this mass migration act has caused a “regression in key areas, such as education, productivity, public services, safety, and civility.”
Brochand made it a point to demonstrate that mass migration is not the norm in French history.
“For 1,000 years, from the Carolingians to Napoleon III, nothing happened,” he observed, pointing out that it wasn’t until the 1970’s that migrants from “the third world of highly failing societies,” predominantly Muslims, began flooding the country.
Brochand called attention to how the Arab Spring sparked another massive migration wave that has led to France now having 25 times more Muslims residing in France than in the 1960s. The former intelligence chief declared that a person must have a “hummingbird’s brain” to believe that long-standing rivalries between Christians and Muslims would not be rekindled as a result of mass migration.
Brochand called for immigration levels to be drastically reduced, with student visas cut by 300% and all non-contributory welfare payments to foreign nationals scrapped altogether.
France must “get out of our straightjacket and take back, by finally showing political will, the steering wheel of the crazy truck that has been driving itself for 50 years,” proclaimed Brochand.
Things are not going well in France. Like the rest of the Collective West, France has been subject to a multi-decade mass migration assault. Now, it’s beginning to face the long-term consequences of this radical social experiment, as crime perpetrated by foreign nationals and migrant ghettos become the new normal of French society — and countless other Western societies for that matter.
These developments are the product of bad public policy. It’s no coincidence why the West’s mass migration problems originated in the 1960s and 1970s — a period when the Civil Rights Revolution and other culturally leftist movements really took off. This period most notably saw the passage of the Hart-Cellar Act in 1965, which facilitated the flow of Third World mass migration to the US.
If Western leaders don’t get their act together and put the clamps down on mass migration, Western civilization as we know it will cease to exist.
