Former TV Executive Wants Straight, White Males To Be Banned From Voting

Published

on

An author and former television chief executive said in a recent interview that straight, white males should not be allowed to vote.

“I think it’s the only hope for democracy in America and I will be leading a great movement to prohibit straight white males, who I believe supported Donald Trump by about 85 percent, from exercising the franchise and I think that will save our democracy,” said Steve Clifford.

Clifford is the author of “The CEO Pay Machine: How it Trashes America and How to Stop it,” and the former chief executive officer of King Broadcasting Company, a media conglomerate and subsidiary of Tegna.

So, the genius who inaccurately describes America as a “democracy” – we live in a Republic – thinks that the key to saving America is to strip a fundamental right away from a certain group based on sex and race. Is this the best that the political left has to offer in terms of strategy?

Clifford had some messaging advice for Democrats, too, which emanated brilliance.

“I’m not a campaign consultant and I think they have to get off the fact that Donald Trump is Donald Trump. Every voter knows that Donald Trump is Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton spent $450 million to say every day that Donald Trump is Donald Trump,” he said.

Here’s hoping the Democrats hire Clifford on some official capacity.
