Former U.S. Army Commander Says There is No Way NATO Can Defeat Russia in Europe

Ben Hodges, a former commander of US Army Europe, stated in an interview with the Washington Post that he does not believe NATO can defeat Russia in Europe.

Hodges believes that NATO would be too weak, slow and feckless to be able to stop Russia from invading Europe if they chose to do so.

“Being faster than the Russians to get to a critical place is the only metric that matters for effective deterrence, and we still can’t do that,” Hodges said. “Military mobility is still a problem. It is better than it was five years ago, but that’s not the metric that matters.”

Hodges said that even if the troops were completely prepared, NATO would be unable to get the heavy equipment in place needed for troops to repel Russian forces. Europe lacks the infrastructure, such as tunnels and bridges, for armored vehicles to be transported fast enough by NATO for Europe to adequately stand up against theoretical Russian aggression.

Big League Politics has reported on how NATO is drawing up plans for full-scale war with Russia as the globalists’ proxy battle against Russia in Ukraine backfires spectacularly:

In another dramatic escalation of tensions, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is convening to draw up plans to go to war with Russia for the first time since the Cold War.

Reuters has reported that NATO’s next summit scheduled for July will feature the approval of a secret military plan to go to war with Russia. NATO is claiming that the plans are all defensive in nature but will not let the public know their specifics.

“Allies will know exactly what forces and capabilities are needed, including where, what and how to deploy,” NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said of the clandestine war scheme.

NATO brass continues to perpetuate the lie that Russia are the aggressors, despite NATO advancing closer and closer toward Russian territory over the past decades and Western powers launching a coup in Ukraine that put in a puppet government hostile to Russian interests.

“The more troops you are massing up on the border, it’s like having a hammer. At some point, you want to find a nail,” said Lt. Gen. Hubert Cottereau, the vice chief of staff for NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe.

“If the Russians are massing troops on the border that will make us nervous, if we are massing troops on the border that will make them nervous,” Cottereau added.”

NATO’s hubris is out of control. They will learn the limits of their power the hard way. Hopefully they don’t drag the entire West down with them as they implode.
