Good News: British PM Boris Johnson Discharged from Hospital

According to a statement from 10 Downing Street the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been discharged from St. Thomas’ Hospital after his battle with the Chinese Coronavirus.

“The PM has been discharged from hospital to continue his recovery, at Chequers. On the advice of his medical team, the PM will not be immediately returning to work. He wishes to thank everybody at St Thomas’ for the brilliant care he has received All of his thoughts are with those affected by this illness.”

On March 27th the Prime Minster announced via Twitter that he had tested positive for COVID 19 but would continue leading the British Government though he would be self-isolating.

On April 5th he was admitted to the hospital for persistent symptoms including a high fever and coughing. On April 6th he was moved to the ICU at St. Thomas’ hospital where he spent three nights.  He was then moved to the general ward before being released today.

The Prime Minister plans to recover at his summer residence as his pregnant fiancée is 10 Downing Street.
