GOP Rep Salazar: “Of Course” US Should Fire At Russian Planes
The GOP called, today’s menu is “RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA!”
Republican Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar (FL-27) indicated she believes in continuing to escalate conflicts with Vladimir Putin in a series of responses she gave to several questions by an interviewer on the street Wednesday.
The reporter began by asking Salazar about some of her foreign policy preferences in dealing with the Russia Ukraine conflict:
“Do you support a no-fly zone in Ukraine?”
“I support everything that has to do with punishing Vladimir Putin and helping the Ukraine,” Salazar replied.
“Wouldn’t that mean direct conventional war with Russia?” asked the reporter.
“I don’t know what it will mean but you know freedom is not free,” Salazar shot back.
The reporter attempted to have the congresswoman clarify. “So you don’t know what a no-fly zone will mean, if you do have to shoot down Russia planes, I mean.”
“Of course!” Salazar bellowed.
“Conventional war with Russia?” asked the reporter for clarification.
“Listen, thank you!” answered Salazar as the clip ended.

Maria Salazar has a track record when it comes to disappointing many in her voter base. The GOP representative drew heat after she sponsored a bill that unveiled an amnesty plan aiding illegal aliens in eventually becoming citizens of the United States amidst the largest wave of illegal immigration in American history. The bill, dubbed “The Dignity Act”, offers a pathway to citizenship for anywhere between 12 and 22 million estimated illegal aliens currently residing in the United States. More information both on the details of the legislation and which Republicans co-sponsored Salazar on the measure can be found here.
