Governor Ron DeSantis takes on American Elites Over China Policy

Governor Ron DeSantis took on the ruling class for propping up China and supporting trade policies that have gutted manufacturing in the USA.
According to Breitbart News, in a State Board of Administration meeting this week, DeSantis went after the corporate and political elites as “the number one reason” China has become “as powerful as they are” as DeSantis moves to detangle Florida’s finances from China-owned companies.
He cited the decision to allow China to enter The World Trade Agreement as well as other free trade policies, that has led to the gutting of domestic manufacturing as part of the ruling class’s betrayal. “If you go back a generation, the idea was if we make China into the WTO … that sent a lot of American production capacity over to China,” DeSantis declared.
He went on to say “The American elites thought ‘Well, that will make China more like us, they won’t be a rogue country, they’ll respect human rights, and maybe become more democratic.’ And the reality is, not only has that not happened, it’s made China very powerful and the elites in the U.S. are the number one reason China is as powerful as they are with all that they’ve done.”
He continued to lay into the globalist multinational corporations saying “If you look at how some of these major companies will behave when faced with Chinese disapproval, they will censor, they will do all these things, you’ll see groveling apologies … so the whole experiment with China has been a big failure for the United States.”
This is part of a bigger pattern of the Florida Governor taking on multinational corporations which do not put America First. The woke corporations do not do the bidding of the American people, and as a result deserve to be called out.
