Guatemalan President Slams Joe Biden for Country’s Exclusion From Pro-Democracy Summit Because ‘We Do Not Approve of Abortion’

Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei is defending the honor of his country against an apparent slight from the Biden regime.

Guatemala is one of the nations that was excluded from Biden’s recent pro-democracy summit. Giammattei maintains a very strong pro-life stance as his nation does not permit women to murder their babies in the womb.

“We seek to protect life and to prevent interference,” he said at an event for the Institute for Women’s Health in Washington, D.C. “We do not approve of abortion because of my faith but also my profession as a medical doctor. Life should be protected from conception.”

It is obvious that the reason why Guatemala was excluded from the pro-democracy summit was due to the nation’s pro-life policies, observers have claimed.

“Alfonso Aguilar, president of the International Human Rights Group, suggested that ideological differences were likely a significant reason for the country’s omission, since Guatemala is unapologetically pro-life,” the Institute for Women’s Health said in a statement.

Giammattei says that his nation will be named the pro-life capital of Latin America in 2022, an honor that he holds very dear.

“Every individual deserves to have their lives protected from conception to natural death,” he said. “… It is totally false that abortion is a human right. Any effort to try to impose abortion in a country is undue interference in international affairs.”

Guatemala is not the only country pushing back against U.S. hegemony. China has also condemned the U.S. for their phony and self-serving promotion of democracy abroad, as Big League Politics has reported:

China is calling out the U.S. government for immense hypocrisy over killing civilians in foreign lands while claiming to support “democracy” and “human rights.”

“The atrocity of killing civilians by US troops in Afghanistan is unacceptable. It is even more outrageous that the US exonerates the perpetrators with impunity on various grounds,” said Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin during a recent address.

“While the US talked about “democracy” and “human rights” at the “Summit for Democracy,” the innocent Afghan people who were gunned down by the US military were forgotten and the killers remain beyond justice,” he added.

Wang criticized U.S. foreign policy in very harsh terms before boldly declaring that the age of unrestrained hegemony from the U.S. empire is coming to an end.

“We condemn the brutal military intervention by the US in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria in the name of “democracy” and “human rights.” We call on the international community to investigate the US military’s war crimes of killing innocent civilians around the world and hold it accountable,” Wang said.

“Justice may be delayed, but it will not be denied. The era in which the US acted arbitrarily in the world under the pretext of so-called “democracy” and “human rights” is over. The day will come eventually when the US military who killed innocent civilians in other countries will be brought to justice,” he added.”

Guatemala’s national sovereignty must be respected as they actually have the courage to stand on behalf of Christian values, which America lost many decades ago.
