HOME SWEET HOME: Michael Bloomberg Returns To The Democratic Party

Former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg is a Democrat once again.

Bloomberg, the 76-year old who identified as Republican and also an independent for a while, is back in the Democratic Party, which leads people to surmise that he plans to run against President Donald Trump in 2020.

A third-party run by Bloomberg would likely split the votes on the anti-Trump side and help Trump win, so Bloomberg’s switch back to the donkey party should concern Democratic presidential aspirants like Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren.

The Bloomberg news organization reports: “The change in party affiliation comes after Bloomberg decided to spend millions in the 2018 election to help elect Democrats. According to the New York Times, he’s approved allocating at least $80 million, with the bulk supporting the Democratic campaign to take control of the U.S. House. His advisers told the Washington Post this month, amid the contentious fight over the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, that he would spend an additional $20 million to help Democrats retake the U.S. Senate.”

Interesting indeed.

Big League Politics reported in June:

Michael Bloomberg, the former New York City mayor, is reportedly moving toward a challenge to President Donald Trump in 2020, while longtime Democratic Party gadfly Joe Biden is leaning toward not running.

CBS New York reports on the authoritarian septuagenarian’s plans to run as a Democrat:“Political consultants point out the 76-year-old is making a number of key moves, including spending $80 million to help Democrats win Congressional races and collecting a lot of political IOUs in the process. But, they also say it could be an uphill battle because of his liberal policies.”

Bloomberg is known for his dictatorial rule over New York City for three terms, which was highlighted by racial tensions concerning policing and Bloomberg’s unilateral decision to ban Big Gulp beverages in the city for health reasons. The price of cigarettes soared, and the Knicks still never won a championship. When all was said and done, the anti-gun billionaire handed the reigns over to far-left lunatic Bill de Blasio, and now Bloomberg focuses on running multi-million dollar campaigns to try to defeat the goals of the Second Amendment. His organization was vital in promoting David Hogg, an anti-gun activist from Parkland, Florida.

Meanwhile, former Obama vice president Joe Biden is probably not going to run, according to one report.

“It makes me feel guilty about not wanting to [run for president]. But it doesn’t make me want to. I’m not looking to live in the White House, I’ve seen it up close,” Biden told The Washington Post Tuesday.

Biden’s desire to run for president in 2016 was derailed in late 2015 when I reported for Breitbart News on his son Hunter Biden’s Ashley Madison account, which Hunter Biden falsely claimed was set up by the Russians in an effort to discredit him (thus kicking off the first round of Russia conspiracy theories). Hunter Biden eventually parted from his wife, hooked up with his dead brother’s wife, and was recently busted for cocaine.

Oprah Winfrey, meanwhile, suffered a recent box-office flop with her movie A Wrinkle In Time, in which she tried to portray herself as a demigod-type figure while spouting her patented brand of affirmational self-help empowerment pabulum, which is deeply anti-Christian. President Trump has said at a rally that he knows what Oprah’s “weakness” is. Was President Trump referring to all the photos of Oprah hanging out with Harvey Weinstein around nubile young Hollywood actresses? Only time will tell.

2020 is on.
