HOSPITALIZED: British PM Boris Johnson Admitted with Continued Coronavirus Symptoms

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to a hospital following his continued COVID-19 symptoms.  The Prime Minister tested positive for the virus ten days ago.

According to a Spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office at 10 Downing Street, “On the advice of his doctor, the Prime Minister has tonight been admitted to the hospital for tests. This is a precautionary step, as the Prime Minister continues to have persistent symptoms of coronavirus  ten days after testing positive for the virus.”

“The Prime Minister thanks NHS staff for all of their incredible hard work and urges the public to continue to follow the Government’s advice to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives,” the Prime Minister’s office added, referring to the British National Healthcare System.

Johnson first announced that he had tested positives for the Chinese Coronavirus  ten days ago, announcing at the time that he would self-isolate at home and continue to lead the British government by video conference.

“Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus,” Johnson video tweeted on March 27th. “I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.”

It is understood that the Prime Minister has had a high temperature and other symptoms of the Chinese Coronavirus for the last ten days and plans are that Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will lead the British Government’s Coronavirus Meeting on Monday morning.
