Hungarians are expressing gratitude to their government for building a mighty border barrier between their country and Serbia to block the flow of migrants into the European country.
Mayor László Toroczkai said earlier this year that the fence “saved my town” and that “calmness has returned.”
The pair of 10-foot electric border fences, with razor wire to discourage climbers, made a sizable impact for Hungary, with the number of migrant arrests in the country reportedly dropping from 3,528 in March 2016 to five in April 2018.
President Trump has also stated that Israel’s border wall is 99.9 percent effective.
Other walls — including the ten-foot wall around the Obama compound in Washington, D.C. — also do their job of protecting the people within the walls from possibly violent intruders who are kept outside the perimeters of the walls.
Lost in the discussion about President Donald J. Trump’s proposed erection of a big beautiful wall on the Southern border – which critics say cannot be done and will not be effective – is the fact that the European Union built a wall just like the one proposed by Trump on the border of Syria and Turkey.
“The EU states have provided the government in Ankara with security and surveillance technology valued at more than 80 million euros in exchange for the protection of its borders, according to research conducted by DER SPIEGEL and the European Investigative Collaborations network (EIC),” said a report by Der Spiegel.
According to another report, “The wall runs through the provinces of Sanliurfa, Gaziantep, Kilis, Hatay, Mardin and Sirnak and incorporates physical, electronic and advanced technology layers. The physical layer includes modular concrete walls, patrol routes, manned and unmanned towers and passenger tracks.”
The wall is 764 kilometers, or about 475 miles.
Turkey is a member of the EU, which reportedly built the wall to keep Syrians from crossing into its member nation. This is the same EU that has forced migration and refugeeism on the whole of Western Europe. Hungary even built a fence to keep migrants from streaming in unabated, and was censured by the unelected EU bureaucracy.
Meanwhile, Democrats in the United States continue with empty platitudes that “walls don’t work” and that Republicans are racists for desiring border security that would stop the flow of illegal drugs and unvetted aliens into our country.
On the contrary, the wall on the Turkish/Syrian border works quite well. As does Israel’s wall, and the one surrounding the Vatican, where the apostate Catholic pope lectures Americans about how taking in millions from the third world is God’s will.
The question remains: Why can’t the United States (or any other Western nation) have sovereign borders?
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro Endorses Donald Trump’s Reelection
Ties have grown between America and Brazil in recent years.
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro announced his endorsement of President Donald Trump in an event signing a new trade agreement between the United States and Brazil on Tuesday in the South American country.
“God willing I will be able to attend Trump’s second inauguration,” said Bolsonaro at a press conference detailing the new agreement with US National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien. Bolsonaro wanted to emphasize that he does not wish to “interfere” with the US election, but that his support for President Trump comes from the heart.
Bolsonaro and Trump have coordinated on policy to contain Venezuelan and Cuban-style Communism within South America. NSA O’Brien stated that relations between the US and Brazil have “never been stronger” at the trade agreement signing. The US designated Brazil a “non-NATO” ally in 2019, and the two countries have worked together on environmental policy to deter wildfires in the Amazon rainforest.
The new “mini-trade deal” signed between the two countries will regulate telecommunications exchanges between the US and Brazil. Brazil, which is the second-most populous nation in the New World with 211 million people, is an increasingly significant country in global business and diplomatic affairs.
Bolsonaro himself is somewhat of a right-wing populist in the veins of global leaders such as Viktor Orban, Andrzej Duda, and President Trump. He won election in 2018 in a landslide, capitalizing on alienation among the Brazilian electorate for the socialist-style governments that had governed the country for over a decade, mass crime, and preferences for gun rights.
Establishment liberals frequently receive endorsement from globalist leaders across the world, and never think twice about not crying “foreign interference” in the event that it benefits them. President Bolsonaro isn’t an American, but it certainly bodes well to see the leader of the Americas’ second largest country develop a strong working relationship with President Trump.
