Idiocracy Alert: New Poll Reveals Fewer than Half of Americans Can Identify All Three Branches of Government

One of the strongest indicators of the United States’ cultural decline has just been demonstrated by a recent poll that found that fewer than half of Americans can name the three branches of the federal government.

According to a report by The Hill, Americans’ understanding about the basic structure of the US government has declined for the first time in six years.

The Hill cited Annenberg Public Policy Center’s annual Constitution Day Civics Survey to demonstrate this breathtaking drop in the percentage of Americans who could identify all three branches of government — executive, legislative, and judicial. This figure dropped by 9% from 2021.

Roughly a quarter of Americans polled could not name a single branch of the US government. In addition, the poll showcased a reduction in the number of respondents who could spell out the five freedoms the First Amendment established.

Only 24% of those surveyed could identify freedom of religion, which dropped from 56% in a previously released survey. Those who identified freedom of the press fell dramatically by 30% from 50% in 2021.

Roughly 26% of poll respondents indicated that they couldn’t name any First Amendment freedoms. Funny enough, the percentage of respondents who placed the right to bear arms — a right enshrined in the Second Amendment — as a First Amendment freedom grew threefold from 2021, spiking up to 9%.

“When it comes to civics, knowledge is power,” Kathleen Hall Jamieson, director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania, declared in a media release.

“It’s troubling that so few know what rights we’re guaranteed by the First Amendment. We are unlikely to cherish, protect, and exercise rights if we don’t know that we have them.”

This is what happens when both private and public education are thoroughly infected by wokism. Instead of teaching the basics of politics, these institutions would rather smack people around with culturally leftist propaganda.

The primary focus of any serious right-wing movement should be to purge woke subversives and other mediocrities from all forms of education in the US and have them be replaced with competent individuals who focus on real instruction as opposed to naked forms of indoctrination.
