Illegal Alien, MS-13 Member Arrested After Manhunt

More resources wasted by law enforcement on a non-citizen.

An illegal alien and member of vicious El Salvadoran gang MS-13 was arrested last week in Texas after committing multiple crimes in multiple counties.

“[Clay County] Sheriff Kenny Lemons said Douglas Guevera-Medrano, 20, is an illegal immigrant and a member of the notorious MS-13, an international crime gang,” according to KFDX.

The report said that Guevera-Medrano was charged with 11 crimes spanning across several counties, including Dallas and Clay counties. The charges range from criminal mischief, to theft and and failure to identify. He is currently being held in the Clay County Jail, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed a detainer on him.

Lemons was critical of the border security policies – or lack thereof – that he says are the root cause of the problems created by illegal aliens.

“Especially when you have these people captured, these dangerous gang members from El Salvador and you don’t have them deported,” he said.  “This man should not have been in Vashti, TX on Monday. We should not have been chasing him. We should not have anything to do with this. This man should have been deported and sent back to his home country.”

While illegal aliens continue to commit crimes, and law enforcement officers like Lemon demand answers, gridlock persists in Washington, D.C.

Big League Politics reported:

President Donald J. Trump has declared a national state of emergency, for which several heavily-blue states immediately sued his administration. Democrats refuse to budge on the issue, unwilling to secure America’s borders. As illegal border crossings surge, they blocked a meaningful amount of wall funding in the 2019 federal budget.

In what many conservatives see as a colossal failure, the Republican Congress, led by former Speaker Paul Ryan, current Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, failed to deliver wall funding to the president’s desk during all of 2017 and 2018, when Republicans held the House, the Senate, and the White House.

White Pill: Montana House Moves Constitutional Carry Bill Forward

Constitutional Carry is one ray of hope for the Right.

On January 20, 2021, the Montana House of Representatives passed Constitutional Carry legislation, HB102.

Dean Weingarten of Ammoland.com reported that the bill passed by a 66 to 31 margin.

Weingarten provided some context to the significance of this bill’s progress:

The bill is the accumulation of a decade and a half of struggle against Democrat Governors, who have repeatedly vetoed reform legislation passed with large majorities in the legislature. Numerous sections in the bill show the Montana legislature has learned the lesson from other states as they restore the right to keep and bear arms.

Montana’s Senate is made up of 31 Republicans and 19 Democrats and Governor Greg Gianforte is a Republican, so the passage of this bill augurs well.  If passed, HB102 would make Montana the 17th Constitutional Carry state.

Montana is already a very gun-friendly state, and represents a low-hanging fruit for Second Amendment activists to tap into.

Constitutional Carry has been one of the most successful movements on the Right over the past twenty years. It’s easy to complain about the corrupt status quo, but there are still plenty of ways right-wingers can score victories. Constitutional Carry is one of them.

It would behoove the Right to analyze existing trends and build off movements that are already producing results. There’s no need to embark on quixotic campaigns that end up being total fools’ errands. Find what’s already working and run with it.
