Illegal Charged with Murder After Stabbing Shipmates On Fishing Boat

An illegal alien in Massachusetts was charged with murder after allegedly stabbing three fellow crew members, one fatally on a fishing boat 55 miles off the Atlantic coast.

“The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts announced the charges on Monday, one day after they say Franklin Freddy Meave Vazquez got into a fight on the ship he was working on, the Captain Billy Haver, and three people were injured. One of those members of the crew died,” according to a report.

Vasquez, 27, is an illegal alien from Mexico. He was also charged with one count of attempted murder.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, the fishing vessel was near Nantucket when Vasquez allegedly assaulted a second crew member with a hammer and knife after stabbing his first victim, who lay bleeding on the deck from an attack by Vasquez. He then allegedly attacked a third shipmate. Vasquez then climbed the boat’s mast before being captured and subdued by crew members.

The captain of the vessel put out a distress call which was answered by a German cruise ship. The doctors aboard the cruise ship treated all three victims, one of whom was pronounced dead on the scene.

This was not the first time that Vasquez had encountered law enforcement.

In March, he was charged with abduction by force, intimidation, or deception in Newport News, Virginia after allegedly attacking a young woman. He was released on bond, and went on to commit the alleged murder.
