Illegal Immigration Exploded in January
According to data the U.S. Customs and Border Protection released on February 10, 2021, 75,198 were caught in January for illegally entering the United States via the Southwest border.
Connor Grant of MRCTV reported that this “number represents a staggering 157% increase compared to January 2020, and marks the highest January total since 2006, when over 100,000 migrants were apprehended – and that’s not even counting the nearly 3,000 who were caught trying to illegally pass through ports of entry.”
This report comes in light of the Biden administration’s immigration policies, which have been lax with regards to containing illegal immigration. According to a recent Morning Consult poll, Biden’s least popular executive orders are connected to immigration. One of the executive orders requires illegal aliens to be counted in the U.S. census, which 42% of registered voters oppose. Similarly, 48% of registered voters oppose Biden’s expansion of the refugee cap.
Last week, on February 9, 51 Republican elected officials, sent the Biden administration a letter reminding the administration of the “rising illegal migration crisis,” while the administration is opening up new border facilities to house the ever-growing flow of migrants entering the country.
To modern Democrats, the concept of national sovereignty seems outdated. However, America First patriots understand the importance of strong borders in guaranteeing a stable polity.
If Republicans were smart, they’d make the Biden administrations’ radical open borders policies a major talking point during the 2022 election cycle. Americans want nothing to do with porous borders.
