Illegal Who Decapitated Young Father Gets 14 Months in Jail
The victim’s family said the killer “had no business here in the first place.”

An illegal alien living in North Carolina was sentenced to just over one year in prison after a September hit-and-run crash which left a 26-year-old father decapitated.
“Neri Damian Cruz-Carmona pled guilty to hit-and-run resulting in death and was ordered to serve a 20-to-33 month prison sentence, the Wake County court clerk said,” according to WRAL.
Counting time served, the sentence will be only 14 months.
The victim, Jamar Beach, was killed in the early hours of the morning on September 1 while riding his motorcycle in Raleigh, North Carolina. He left behind a two-year-old son.
“He had no business here in the first place and he should not have been operating a vehicle,” Beach’s mother, Cameo Robinson, reportedly told a local news station. “He didn’t have a license. So, therefore, he’s being treated better than the citizen who’s been killed.”
The family accused Cruz-Carmona of driving under the influence, and was upset at the prosecution for not pursuing charges. Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman said there was not enough evidence to support that charge.
“We have to rely on the evidence and make the determination for what charge is appropriate,” she said. “We have an ethical obligation not to pursue charges where there is no evidence.”
