In His First 100 Days in Office, Biden Promises Mass Amnesty for 11 Illegal Aliens

In the first 100 days of office, presumptive U.S. president Joe Biden vows to pass amnesty for 11 million illegal aliens.

The former Vice President revealed his plan to grant citizenship to millions of illegal aliens during an NBC interview with Lester Holt. Biden stated the following:

Some of it’s going to depend on the kind of cooperation I can or cannot get from the United States Congress. But I am going, I made a commitment, in the first 100 days, I will send an immigration bill to the United States Senate with a pathway to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented people in America.

John Binder of Breitbart News mentioned how several Republicans are waiting to cut an amnesty deal with Democrats:

Already, a number of Senate Republicans have suggested that they are interested in working with Biden on some sort of immigration deal. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC), John Cornyn (R-TX), and Chuck Grassley (R-IA) have all hinted at striking a Democrat-GOP deal on immigration that would almost certainly include an amnesty.

With over 20 million Americans unemployed or underemployed, a mega amnesty will completely wreck the labor market by displacing millions of Americans in economic dire straits. In addition, Binder highlights how unemployed Americans are also “forced to compete in the labor market by an endless stream of foreign workers who secure visas and green cards that rack up to more than 2.5 million admissions every year.”

Mass migration is an oligarchical preference and does not sit well with the average American. Over 75 percent of voters indicated their support in an exit poll for immigration reduction in a time when there are still high levels of unemployment. Moreover, once the lockdown induced unemployment falls, immigration should still be restricted according to these voters’ preferences.

The way migrants vote is also another cause for concern. If migration is not checked, continued flows of migrants could put Democrats over the top electorally speaking for years to come. The GOP would be wise to pursue immigration restriction in order to encourage assimilation, stabilize the job market, and slowly turn migrants and their kids into GOP voters just like their Catholic ethnic predecessors did after a multi-decade immigration moratorium was passed in the 1920s. A Biden administration would likely keep the floodgates open, which is why the Georgia runoff elections are so important for Republicans to win A Democrat trifecta practically ensures some kind of amnesty being brought to the floor for vote.
