Injunction Protecting Robert E. Lee Statue is Extended Indefinitely as Judge Declares the Monument ‘Belongs to the People’

A rare instance of the courts protecting liberty.

A Richmond, Va. judge has extended an injunction indefinitely protecting an iconic statue of Robert E. Lee that is being targeted for removal by Governor Ralph “Coonman” Northam.

Circuit Court Judge Bradley Cavedo ruled against a complaint made by William C. Gregory regarding how removing the statue would be unlawful, but gave him 21 days to file another complaint within the bounds of the law.

“It belongs to the people,” Cavedo said of the statue during a Thursday court hearing.

The Democrats are not happy with Cavedo’s decision rebuking the mob and protecting history from ISIS-style attacks courtesy of Black Lives Matter (BLM).

“Essentially the judge agreed with us and dismissed the complaint. He has given him another opportunity to refile a new complaint in case they think they can make a better case and hearing is set in July after that’s done,” said Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring.

“I’m disappointed the judge did continue the injunction until after that hearing, so we’ll go from there, but I want to be clear about this…this grandiose monument to a leader of a four-year armed insurrection against the United States of America in order to perpetuate a brutal and immoral system that enslaved millions needs to come down,” he added.

He continued on with more virtue signaling from there, yammering on about systemic racism and other such Cultural Marxist nonsense.

“How do you tell a black child why that monument is there? How do you tell a black man or a black woman they’re going to get a fair and impartial hearing when so many of our courthouses are literally blocked by these monuments to inhumane and immoral system that sought to enslave them? You can’t. There’s no justification for it,” Herring said.

Big League Politics reported on the initial 10-day injunction as it was issued last week:

A Richmond, Va. circuit court judge has put a stay of 10 days on Governor Ralph “Coonman” Northam’s decision to take down an iconic statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

Concerned citizen William C. Gregory filed a lawsuit contending that the state promised to “affectionately protect” the statue when it initially annexed the land from Henrico County. The lawsuit noted that Gregory is the great-grandson of a couple who signed the original deed. The judge granted a 10-day injunction so his lawsuit can be adequately heard.

The statue has been in place since the late 1800s, which features the legendary general atop his horse on a majestic 50-foot base. Gregory’s lawyer, Joseph E. Blackburn Jr., argued in a court filing that the state “guaranteed” to “hold said statue and pedestal and circle of ground perpetually sacred to the monumental purpose” and “faithfully guard it and affectionately protect it.” The judge who signed off on the order is currently unknown…

The courts have put a halt to the cultural genocide pushed by left-wing terrorists in Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA, and they have time to do the right thing and protect their history from the anti-civilizational hordes.

The Robert E. Lee monument is protected for now from the mob, but Democrats will stop at nothing to commit a genocide against the American culture and denigrate the heroic ancestors who made the country great.

Billionaire Mike Bloomberg Pays $16 Million in Fines of Black and Hispanic Felons to Enable Them to Vote

Bribery?

Published

Billionaire and former New York City Mayor has raised $16 million dollars to pay off outstanding fines of Black and Hispanic felons in Florida, according to reporting from Axios on Tuesday. Florida restricts the voting rights of convicted criminals until they’ve paid off fines levied for their crimes by the criminal justice system.

It appears that Bloomberg’s fine repayment initative was only available to Black and Hispanic felons. Axios reported that to qualify for Bloomberg’s money, applicants had to have outstanding fines of less than $1,500, be already registered to vote, and to be Black or Latino.

White felons need not apply.

The program has reportedly already cleared the fines of 32,000 felons in the state, enabling them to vote in the election. It erases the punitive aspect of the court system’s fines, which were levied in the first place in order to require convicted criminals to personally make amends for their actions.

Bloomberg’s felon bailout giveaway is legally questionable, and Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz has requested that Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody investigate what he’s doing. If he’s paying felons to vote for any one specific candidate, Bloomberg is in violation of campaign finance rules and could be liable to serve jail time .

The right to vote is fundamental to our democracy and no American should be denied that right,” said a Bloomberg spokesperson when asked about the fine repayment initiative. But it doesn’t seem as if the failed Democratic primary candidate is willing to buy back the voting rights of individuals who might be less inclined to vote for Joe Biden in November.

Bloomberg already tried and failed to buy the nomination in the Democratic primary, and now he’s trying to buy the crucial swing state of Florida for Joe Biden. Corrupt oligarchs should not be allowed to abuse the political system with impunity.
