Israel Begins Rollout For Fourth Covid Shot

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennet

Israel is set to begin rolling out a fourth dose of Covid-19 shots currently slated for people ages 60 and over, medical workers, and people with suppressed immune systems, the Prime Minister’s Office announced Tuesday.

The Prime Minister’s office said that those who are eligible for a fourth shot can receive it 4 months after their previously taken third dose. Nearly all jabbed citizens in the state of Israel have taken the Pfizer/BioNTech innoculation.

A member of Israel’s expert panel told Israeli radio Tuesday evening that the decision to push for the fourth dose was based on essentially zero data that demonstrates it can grant immunity.

“We don’t really have data yet on the level of immunity like we did when we decided on the third dose, but on the other hand, there is really scary data out there in the rest of the world,” Professor Galia Rahav said.

“In a situation like this, if you don’t act immediately, you miss the train,” she added.

Big League Politics covered Israel’s Covid-19 response back in September when “public health experts” announced that the citizens’ Covid-19 innoculation passports would soon require a third dose. This has since happened, with citizens of Israel now forced to show proof of three Covid-19 shots in order to access essentially any regular aspect of daily life, including bars, restaurants, gyms, and may other businesses. This effectively marked a change in the nation’s definition of “fully vaccinated,” with Israeli citizens who only took the originial Pfizer regimine no longer considered eligibile.

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett echoed the nation’s “experts” and encouraged citizens to take the fourth shot as soon as possible.

“Wonderful news, do not waste time — go get vaccinated,” he said in a Tuesday statement.

Bennett also applauded Israel’s draconian clampdowns excused as a means to fight the Covid-19 virus, saying that the country continues to “stand at the forefront of the global effort to deal with the pandemic.”

“The citizens of Israel were the first in the world to receive the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and we are continuing to pioneer with the fourth dose as well,” he said.
