Italian Populist Champion Congratulates America First Candidate for Her Primary Victory

Lauren Boebert’s victory on June 30, 2020 in Colorado’s 3rd district sent shockwaves across the nation as she defeated incumbent Scott Tipton.

After her victory, Boebert received praise from Italian populist leader Matteo Salvini.

He tweeted, “Congratulations on your impressive win, Lauren! ‘If you can dream it, you can do it’ #Maga #Trump2020

This came in response to a tweet where Boebert congratulated her followers for their support during the primaries.

She tweeted, “I can’t thank you enough for all of your support. We are going to take our fight for freedom to the Democrats and then we are going to take it to D.C. I will always fight for you!”

Interestingly, Tipton was endorsed by Trump prior to this election.

On the campaign trail during the primaries, Boebert called out Tipton for his vote in favor of the Farm Workforce Modernization Act, which would have functioned as an amnesty for millions of illegal workers.

Boebert also positioned herself as the district’s pro-gun Republican option after calling out failed Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke at a rally in Aurora, Colorado for his pro-gun confiscation comments during the Democrat debates in 2019.

Boebert’s election indicates that the GOP base is starting to become tired of the party leadership’s obsession with mass migration boosting and is willing to elect people who will actually implement America First policies.
