Joe Biden Assures Corporate Donors That He Supports No Legislation to Reign in Wall Street

He basically told Wall Street he’s taking Bernie Bros for a ride.

Former Vice President Joe Biden has been paying lip service to the supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), acting as if he is adopting socialist policies on the campaign trail to curry their favor.

However, nothing could be further from the truth, Biden assured Wall Street while meeting with them in a teleconference.

“What do you think is essential to get this economy rolling again?” asked Jon Gray, a leading executive with the influential Blackstone Group private equity firm, to Biden.

“I come from the corporate state of American, many of you incorporated here,” Biden responded. “It used to be that corporate America had a sense of responsibility beyond just CEO salaries and shareholders.”

“Corporate America has to change its ways. It’s not going to require legislation. I’m not proposing any. We’ve got to think about how we deal people back in,” he added.

David Sirota, a liberal political commentator and former Sanders speechwriter, is taking Biden to task for his rank hypocrisy.

“Before making these comments, Biden had previously promised to pass legislative initiatives to change corporate behavior on everything from climate change to tax policy. He has an entire section of his website outlining promises to pass corporate accountability legislation. He has received praise for these kind of promises,” Sirota wrote.

He added: “But now he’s telling his donors they can rest assured that legislation to change corporate behavior is not forthcoming. Indeed, read Biden’s comment again: “It’s not going to require legislation. I’m not proposing any.”’

In addition to being owned by Wall Street multinationals, Biden is also a tool of the red menace. Big League Politics has reported extensively on Biden being a Chinese pawn:

A new Trump campaign ad exposes Joe Biden’s shocking pro-China track record, exposing rhetoric that only seems tremendously obtuse in the midst of the global Chinese coronavirus pandemic and the authoritarian communist Chinese government’s economic predation of American jobs, industry, and wealth…

Outsourcing to China has already cost America more than 3.2 million jobs since the transfer of American manufacturing industry to the country began in earnest in the early 1990’s, when traditional establishment politicians such as Biden advanced the notion of ‘free trade’ with the communist dictatorship.

The ad points out Biden’s blatant flip-flop on President Trump’s early life-saving travel ban on China, a common-sense move the former Vice President claimed was “hysterical xenophobia.” Biden has since changed his mind, admitting the early travel ban was necessary.

Joe Biden has supported virtually every single globalist trade deal designed to facilitate the transfer of American wealth, industry and intellectual property to China. It’s rather surprising that his track record as an advocate for American partnership with China hasn’t been a topic of concern within the Democratic Primary, with democratic socialist Bernie Sanders only pointing out his disturbing trade track record once or twice in passing.

As a career politician in Washington D.C., Biden has supported all of the worst policies that have destroyed America over the past several decades.

“Moderate” Democrat Senator Joe Manchin Wants Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz Removed From the Senate

So much for moderation and unity…

Conventional wisdom can often be misleading and at times dangerous if we believe in it too strongly.

Take for example West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin. He is constantly marketed as the Democrats’ most moderate Senator. There is a grain of truth to this. Manchin has publicly stated that he opposes ending the filibuster and has also poured cold water on $2,000 stimulus checks. But that’s where the moderation ends.

Manchin is now saying that the Senate should entertain the idea of expelling Senators Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) by using the 14th Amendment over their recent decision to challenge the Electoral College results.

On PBS’s Firing Line, Manchin said the Senate should look into the option after right-wing activists stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Manchin is of the opinion that President Donald Trump and Senators like Hawley and Cruz “incited” these demonstrators.

“That should be a consideration,” Manchin stated. “He understands that. Ted’s a very bright individual, and I get along fine with Ted, but what he did was totally outside of the realm of our responsibilities or our privileges.”

According to the 14th Amendment, no elected official “shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”

Hyped up leftist pundits believe that the 14th amendment is applicable to Cruz and Hawley due to how they allegedly “incited” the riot by talking about electoral fraud and pointing out electoral irregularities.

“I’m totally convinced it was done because of political reasons. This was all politically motivated. This was calculated,” declared Manchin. “I believe that all my colleagues truly made a decision that was politically best for them and expedient for them. It was not what they believed to be true or false.”

Unquestionably, Manchin is an establishment hack through and through. He may have reasonable views on gun policy, in part due to West Virginia’s strong gun culture, but Manchin is still a member of the D.C. swamp. His recent statements demonstrate this. Republican nationalists should relieve him of the burden of holding public office in 2024.
