Joe Biden Endorsed G20 Declaration to Censor Disinformation

At last month’s G20 summit celebrated in Bali, Indonesia, leaders of the G20 nations signed a declaration supporting the censorship of “disinformation.” The Biden regime gave its approval to the declaration by posting it on the White House’s website.

The G20 Bali Leaders’ Declaration mainly dealt with climate change, which included Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs). Though as Christina Maas of Reclaim the Net noted, the G20 leaders have connected SDGs with online censorship.

Section 24 of the declaration stated that online “disinformation” must be censored.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the transformation of the digital ecosystem and digital economy,” the section started. “We recognize the importance of digital transformation in reaching the SDGs.”

In addition, the section noted that there must be “trust in the digital economy,” and that G20 nations should strive to “create an enabling, inclusive, open, fair and non-discriminatory digital economy that fosters the application of new technologies, allows businesses and entrepreneurs to thrive, and protects and empowers consumers.”

The G20 leaders reached a consensus on the need to censor “false” information for the Internet to allegedly “thrive”: “We acknowledge the importance to counter disinformation campaigns, cyber threats, online abuse, and ensuring security in connectivity infrastructure.”

Indeed, the ruling classes of the Collective West do not want a free Internet. This presents the greatest threat to their technocratic agenda. The election of Donald Trump in 2016 was largely driven by strong social media activity and the emergence of an alternative media ecosystem that challenged the prevailing narrative.  This is a scenario West elites don’t want to ever experience again.

To ensure that, they will do everything possible to shut down free speech online through deplatforming, shadowbanning, and even de-banking. Elites know that their ideas are awful so they have to use both public and private coercion to impose their will on others.
