Joe Biden Says US Government Will Stand with Ukraine for “As Long as It Takes”

In the middle of this week, the Biden regime stressed the United States’ commitment to helping Ukraine trap Russia in a never-ending war.

Joe Biden signed off on an additional $800 million in military aid to Ukraine. During the NATO summit in Madrid on June 30, 2022, Biden revealed that the new military aid package features more advanced air defense systems, ammunition, and artillery.

“The war could end tomorrow, by the way, if Russia stops its irrational behavior,” Biden said. “So, you know, when the war will end, you know I hope it ends sooner than later, but for it to end they have to be in a position where…the the Ukrainians have all that they can reasonably expect. We can reasonably expect to get to them in order to provide for provide for their physical security and their defenses.”

One America News reported that this announcement “came after Biden shared a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan while on his way to the summit in which he urged him to sign off on Finland and Sweden joining the NATO alliance.”

During this summit, Biden announced a heightened military presence in Europe, which includes the creation of a permanent army headquarters in Poland, the deployment of new warships to Spain, the deployment of fighter jet squadrons to the United Kingdom, the deployment of more troops to Romania, and an increase in the amount of rotational deployments to the Baltic states.

Biden stressed that America’s inflation problems are largely due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“But the bottom line is ultimately the reason why gas prices are up is because of Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia,” Biden declared. “The reason why the food crisis exists is because of Russia. Russia not allowing grain to get out of Ukraine and so, that’s the that’s the way in which I think we should move. And I think it will have a positive impact on the price at the pump as well.”

It’s becoming clear that ideological fanaticism has fully captured DC’s foreign policy decision-makers. Russia poses no threat to the US whatsoever. While the threat Russia poses to Europe is more debatable, this region is filled with rich countries that should be able to finance their own defense and build a more viable defense architecture.

None of this requires the US holding European countries’ hands nor the US having to park military assets in the Old Continent. Too bad DC won’t ever grasp this and will continue pursuing a quixotic, universalist foreign policy.
