Joe Biden Stresses the Unity of the American Political Class in Supporting Ukraine

During his State of the Union address on February 7, 2023, President Joe Biden declared that the country’s political forces are united against Russia’s military incursion in Ukraine and support arming Ukraine to the teeth.
Biden said Ukrainian Ambassador to the US Oksana Markarova was in attendance during the State of the Union.
“America is united in our support for your country,” Biden declared, addressing Markarova.
“We will stand with you as long as it takes,” he said during his speech.
Indeed, Biden’s statements are an accurate reflection of the realities present in the Washington DC Swamp. We must remember that both parties — Democrats and Republicans —are united in their foreign policy interventionism abroad. They want to pursue nation-building, regime change, covert operations, and proxy war schemes abroad.
With the exception of a few populist Republicans like Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie and Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, DC is thoroughly addicted to war. This is America Last as it gets. Populists must make it a point to not only win elections but also insinuate themselves in key foreign policy positions so that the Republican Party moves in a more non-interventionist/realist direction. This fight will not be easy but it must be carried out if we want to bring back some form of foreign policy sanity to the US.
