Joe Biden Warns the US Could Be In a Direct War With Russia If Congress Doesn’t Approve Additional Ukraine Aid

On December 29, 2023, President Joe Biden urged Congress to give the green light to additional spending on the Russo-Ukrainian War, claiming that if Russian President Vladimir Putin ends up being successful in this war, it could risk the US getting into a direct clash with Russia.
Biden made the remarks in a statement with respect to a Russian attack on Ukraine that was said to be the largest of the war. According to Ukrainian authorities, Russia launched north of 150 missiles and drones across Ukraine which resulted in the deaths of 31 people.
Biden revealed that Ukrainian forces were able to intercept several missiles with US-supplied air defenses and continued by noting that “unless Congress takes urgent action in the new year, we will not be able to continue sending the weapons and vital air defense systems Ukraine needs to protect its people.”
Biden asserted that the ramifications of the war go beyond Ukraine and extend to the US’s NATO satrapies. “When dictators and autocrats are allowed to run roughshod in Europe, the risk rises that the United States gets pulled in directly,” he stated.
Biden and other officials in his regime have used this argument in their call to approve the north of $60 billion they’re looking for financing the proxy war in Ukraine for an additional year. The crux of their argument is that if Russia wins in Ukraine, it will subsequently attack a NATO nation.
For his part, Putin responded to the assertion that a domino effect is occurring in Ukraine, describing the idea that he has ambitions to conquer NATO territory as “nonsense.”
“Russia has no reason, no interest — no geopolitical interest, neither economic, political nor military — to fight with NATO countries,” the Russian leader stated.
On December 30, as a response to the Russian missile barrage, Ukraine launched a missile attack into Russia, which resulted in the deaths of 21 people in the Belgorod Oblast. According to Dave DeCamp of Antiwar.com, this was the largest Ukrainian attack on Russian territory during the war.
There’s clearly irrational fearmongering with respect to the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. The US national security state wants a perpetual conflict to occur in Ukraine all with the aim of degrading Russia’s military and getting it embroiled in a protracted fight that ultimately bleeds it dry.
In reality, Ukraine is being used as an expendable pawn that will likely be destroyed in this entire process all for the sake of the US maintaining hegemony on the European continent.
