Journalist Glenn Greenwald Resigns From ‘The Intercept’ After Publication Censors Article Criticizing Joe Biden

Left-wing journalist Glenn Greenwald announced on Thursday that he will depart from The Intercept, the publication he co-founded to publish news outside of the fake news media-industrial complex, because the organization has transformed into everything they were founded to oppose.

Greenwald published the rationale behind his departure on Substack, explaining how his writing critical to Democrat presidential contender Joe Biden was censored by the outlet.

“The final, precipitating cause is that The Intercept’s editors, in violation of my contractual right of editorial freedom, censored an article I wrote this week, refusing to publish it unless I remove all sections critical of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all New-York-based Intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression,” he said.

“The censored article, based on recently revealed emails and witness testimony, raised critical questions about Biden’s conduct. Not content to simply prevent publication of this article at the media outlet I co-founded, these Intercept editors also demanded that I refrain from exercising a separate contractual right to publish this article with any other publication,” Greenwald added.

Greenwald explained that he could not stay with The Intercept since they had violated journalistic ethics to shill for Biden.

“As of now, I will be publishing my journalism here on Substack, where numerous other journalists, including my good friend, the great intrepid reporter Matt Taibbi, have come in order to practice journalism free of the increasingly repressive climate that is engulfing national mainstream media outlets across the country,” Greenwald wrote.

“This was not an easy choice: I am voluntarily sacrificing the support of a large institution and guaranteed salary in exchange for nothing other than a belief that there are enough people who believe in the virtues of independent journalism and the need for free discourse who will be willing to support my work by subscribing,” he added.

Big League Politics has reported on how fake news hacks are openly in the tank for the former vice president:

National Public Radio (NPR) has issued an official explanation for why they have largely ignored the exclusive Hunter Biden laptop story. They are claiming it is a waste of time and covering it is beneath them.

Terence Samuels, the Managing Editor for News for NPR, explained how he and other Masters of Truth have decided that the public does not deserve to know the truth about Hunter Biden’s crony deals and their implications regarding his powerful father, vice president and Democrat presidential contender Joe Biden.

“We don’t want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we don’t want to waste the listeners’ and readers’ time on stories that are just pure distractions,” Samuels said…

Even though NPR claims they “don’t want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories,” they published a hit piece attacking the alleged sources of the leaks in order to cast doubt on the revelations that not even the Biden family has claimed are untrue…

In the propaganda piece to protect the Bidens, NPR Media Correspondent David Folkenflik said New York Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop “was a story marked more by red flags than investigative rigor.”

This desperate hack even had the audacity to blame the evil Russians for the leaked information that is damaging to the Biden family.

“The context also screams for caution: U.S. officials say Russian disinformation campaigns have sought to keep Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine in the public eye,” Folkenflik wrote.

Folkenflik even admitted that he could not debunk the findings in the initial reporting. He even admitted that he could do nothing but speculate while refusing to look into the facts of the matter.

“The New York Post story could someday be proven accurate, or largely right,” wrote Folkenflik, who does not even pretend that he would ever do this sort of investigative work. “Or perhaps what was published is a far cry from investigative journalism, but rather speculative partisan advocacy. A totem of our media moment.”

Greenwald deserves credit for standing firmly by his principles in an age when that can be very costly.
