Judge Dismisses Former Rep. Katie Hill’s ‘Revenge Porn’ Lawsuit Over Leaked Nude Pictures

Former Congresswoman Katie Hill of California, who had to resign after she was discovered having inappropriate relationships with staffers and embarrassing nude pictures were leaked to the public, has had her “Revenge Porn” lawsuit dismissed in a court of law.
Hill was suing the Daily Mail claiming that the release of her naked pictures violated revenge porn statutes. Los Angeles Judge Yolanda Orozco rejected her arguments and ruled against her under the reasoning that the pictures were in the public interest when they were released.
In addition to the illicit affair with staffers, Orozco noted that the photos also appear “to show [her] using a then-illegal drug and displaying a tattoo that was controversial because it resembled a white supremacy symbol.”
Orozco rejected the argument made by Hill’s lawyers that Daily Mail could have described the pictures without publishing them as “unpersuasive.”
“The fact that information to be gleaned from an image may be disseminated in an alternative manner does not equate to a finding that the image itself is not a matter of public concern,” Orozco said.

“Freshman Democrat Katie Hill struck a defiant tone in her resignation speech from the House of Representatives on Thursday, blaming her resignation on ‘sexism’ after being caught carrying out a ‘throuple’ relationship with a subordinate employee.
Hill claims she used her position as a member of Congress to defend women, despite carrying out affairs with male and female staffers as a sitting Congresswoman. Sexual relationships with subordinate employees are considered to be unethical, especially for members of Congress, as staffers can’t necessarily turn down their overseers without risking their career or professional status.
Hill was elected in 2018, defeating a longtime Republican member of Congress. She slammed both President Trump and “right-wing” media for subjecting her to accountability for her actions.
“I’m leaving because I didn’t want to be peddled by papers and blogs and websites used by shameless operatives for the dirtiest gutter politics I’ve ever seen, and the right wing media, to drive clicks and expand their audience by distributing intimate photos of me taken without my knowledge or consent for the sexual entertainment of millions.”
The Freshman Democrat went on to blame a “misogynistic culture” and her abusive ex for the proliferation of her naked photos across the internet.”
Hill needs to atone for her own behavior and stop blaming others. Though, considering she is a feminist and LGBT adherent, it is not likely that she will ever take responsibility for her own actions.
