Kamala Harris Wants Universal Gun Registration Via Executive Action
2020 presidential candidate Kamala Harris declared that she will use executive action to force anyone who sells more than five guns a year to perform background checks.
This is an expansion of anti-gunner’s move to subject all private gun sales to universal gun registration. BLP reported that House Democrats passed a universal gun registration bill on February 27, which criminalizes private gun sales between friends and neighbors if they don’t have the requisite government permission slips.
On CNN’s State of the Union, Harris broke down the details of her executive plan, stating, “For anyone who sells more than five guns a year, they will be required to perform background checks on the people they sell them to.”
Jake Tapper asked Harris if executive action can be used to expand universal gun registration, in which she responded, “Yes it can.”
BLP covered Cory Booker’s recent announcement pushing for a federal gun license.
When asked about her support for a federal gun license, Harris stated, “I like the idea.”
Gun owners have warned about the dangers of gun registration since the Brady Act was passed in the 1990s.
With the modern Democratic Party fully embracing radical gun control, gun owners have reason to be worried about the latest announcements from 2020 hopefuls. Should Democrats achieve a trifecta in Washington DC, gun registration could likely be on the menu.
