Nikki Haley showed her true establishment colors this week when President Trump continued his barrage of U.S. Congressman Elijah Cummings of Maryland.

Haley criticize President Trump’s recent tweet directed at Cummings when word got out that Cummings’ house got robbed.

Trump tweeted “Really bad news!” early Friday.  “The Baltimore house of Elijah Cummings was robbed. Too bad!”

Haley did not like this tweet.

She tweeted in response, “This is so unnecessary” with an eye roll emoji.

Trump’s top political advisor, Kellyanne Conway instantly came to the President’s defense.

She tweeted, “THIS is so unnecessary. Trump-PENCE 2020.”

The emphasis on Vice President Mike Pence was a not so subtle shot against Haley’s higher political ambitions.

BLP reported on rumors about GOP insiders trying to urge Haley to replace Pence as Trump’s running mate.

However, Trump dismissed these rumors.

Trump told Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo “We won together. We have tremendous evangelical support. We have tremendous support from every angle. You can’t break up a team like that. And we get along well together.”

When asked about Haley, Trump said “I love Nikki, and there’s places for Nikki, and Nikki’s future is great. But Mike Pence is the person, 100 percent.”

It’s no secret that Haley has strong political ambitions. BLP reported on her new Stand For America non-profit project that she’s been working on. This is very likely part of her long-term plan to position herself for the 2024 elections.

Haley is a darling of the establishment Right.

She not only took down the Confederate flag in the South Carolina statehouse in the wake of the Charleston shooting in 2015, she also sits on the board of Boeing, one of the most iconic firms in the military-industrial complex.

Secretly, GOP operatives would like Haley to be their candidate moving forward.

Her actions in this Cumming case show that she’s part of the spineless GOP establishment of yesteryear that constantly let the Left gain ground and control the terms of the debate.

Thankfully, Trump is sitting in the White House for the moment.

In 2024 and beyond, the political establishment will seek to undermine America First by running generic candidates like Haley in order to revert to the Bush years.
