In a lengthy Facebook post published early on Monday, Kid Rock slammed his detractors and those who have accepted his donations yet remain silent as he is under attack with false allegations.

In an attempt to shut down planned concerts in Detroit, protesters and the liberal National Action Network  (founded by the Reverend Al Sharpton) have been bringing up the musician’s previous use of the Confederate flag to silence his speech and paint him as a racist.

Many of his supporters are claiming that the attacks are politically motivated, as a poll from Delphi Analytica shortly after he announced his plan, the Michigan favorite, Kid Rock, or Robert James Ritchie, polled four points ahead of sitting Senator Stabenow, with 30% to her 26%, while 44% declined to answer or were undecided.

The poll was conducted from July 14-18 — beginning just two days after the Macomb County musician announced his intention to run in the Republican primary.

“I am the bona fide KING OF DETROIT LOVE and it makes me smile down deep that you haters know that! Your jealousy is merely a reflection of disgust for your own failures and lack of positive ideas for our city,” Kid Rock wrote.

The wealthy musician also vowed to pull his philanthropic efforts from the groups that have not stood with him.

“I am however very disappointed that none of the people, businesses or charities I have so diligently supported in Detroit have had anything to say about all these unfounded attacks from these handful of jackasses and The Detroit Free Press. So for the unforeseen future I will focus my philanthropy efforts on other organizations besides the ones I have supported in the past. I would however employ that NAN go ahead and make up these losses since they claim to be so good for Detroit and do not want me opening the arena and generating tons of jobs and tax dollars for the city and people I LOVE… IDIOTS! ….. (Has Al Sharpton even paid his back taxes yet?),” the statement continued.

The senate-hopeful concluded his post by saying, “P.P.P.P.P.S. I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE!!”

Michigan was once considered to be a solid blue state. It is now a battleground that seems to be up for grabs, as President Donald Trump won it in the general. This has been widely credited to the state largely consisting of blue collar voters who feel forgotten and neglected by “business as usual.”
