As former Today Show host Matt Lauer faces divorce and public ruin for his years of alleged sexual impropriety in the newsroom — and for putting women in the workplace in the position of having to cover for him.
Lauer’s case proves yet again that high-profile women are oftentimes complicit in the wrongful behavior of high-profile men. Katie Couric is a prime example of this.
Katie Couric of Yahoo, formerly of broadcast television, made a remark about Matt Lauer’s behavior and also reportedly joked about Lauer’s not-so-secret affections for his NBC co-worker Ann Curry.
