Lady’s Man Lindsey Graham Calls for Shooting Down Russian Planes

After two Russian fighter jets intercepted a United MQ-9 Reaper surveillance drone, with one allegedly striking the drone’s propeller, taking it down, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham called on to shoot down Russian military aircraft in the near future.
Graham made these comments on March 14, 2023 during an appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox New program, when the conservative host asked him about how the US should have responded to the downing of the unmanned drone over the Black Sea.
Graham responded: “Well, we should hold them accountable and say that, ‘If you ever get near another U.S. asset flying in international waters, your airplane will be shot down. What would Ronald Reagan do right now? He would start shooting Russian planes down if they were threatening our assets.”
Funny part is that Tucker Carlson responded to Graham’s comments by noting that former President Ronald Reagan, who Graham and other normiecons idolize, was not the hawk most imagined him to be. “What would Ronald Reagan do?” Tucker inquired. “Ooh, good question, Senator Graham. Ronald Reagan’s two-term presidency was notable for the fact that he did not declare war on the Russian air force, and therefore the United States did not go to war with Russia. And millions of lives were saved as a result.”
“It’s pretty much the opposite of the approach being pushed right now by Lindsey Graham and his friends in the war party. Their plan is to ignore our borders in the United States, but to defend Ukraine,” Carlson added.
Even more curious is that Reagan routinely negotiated with the Soviet Union on arms control, did nothing when the Soviets shot down Korean Air Lines Flight 007 near the Sea of Japan, and did not respond militarily after terrorists bombed a US Marines barracks that resulted in the deaths of 241 Marines and sailors.
For the likes of Graham, such history does not register. Neocons will continue voicing platitudes until the end of time to reinforce several foreign policy myths and gaslight Americans into supporting future wars.
