LAREDO: Customs and Border Patrol Apprehend Convicted Killer With Multiple Deportations

Customs and Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo South station in Texas apprehended a man with a previous conviction for voluntary manslaughter as he attempted the US-Mexico border in the area.

CBP personnel caught Alejandro Rodriguez-Jaramillo, a 55-year old Mexican national. Rodriguez-Jaramillo was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in 1996, and was sentenced to 16 years in prison. Sources within CBP have confirmed the manslaughter convict already has “multiple deportations” on his criminal record.

The felon was seen crossing the border illegally with a group of illegal aliens.

It’s somewhat questionable that Rodriguez-Jaramillo has been kept out of the federal prison, despite being caught by authorities entering the country with a serious criminal record multiple times.

It likely won’t be enough to merely put this violent felon on a plane ride back home. He’ll face charges of felony illegal re-entry, a federal immigration charge that could merit him up to 20 years on the basis of his earlier criminal convictions. Rodriguez-Jaramillo is being held in federal immigration detention pending his reentry charge.
