Published

on

Last week the Whitehouse and the Department of Treasury issued concurrent statements.

The WhiteHouse released an Executive Order titled, Blocking the Property of Persons Involved in Serious Human Rights Abuse or Corruption. The Treasury Department released a statement titled, Global Magnitsky Sanctions and a list of people who are now under sanctions.

“I, therefore, determine that serious human rights abuse and corruption around the world constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States, and I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with that threat,” according to the EO by President Donald J.Trump

The Global Magnitsky Sanctions is not new.  It is based on the Magnisky Act.   Also known as Russia and Moldova Jackson–Vanik Repeal and Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act of 2012.

According to the Treasury Department,

The E.O. implements the provisions of the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act (“Global Magnitsky Act,” Public Law 114-328, Subtitle F), which was signed into law on
December 23, 2016.

This bill, signed by President Barack H. Obama, authorizes the President to impose U.S. entry and property sanctions against any foreign person (or entity) who:

  • is responsible for extrajudicial killings, torture, or other gross violations of internationally recognized human rights committed against individuals in any foreign country seeking to expose illegal activity carried out by government officials, or to obtain, exercise, or promote human rights and freedoms;
  • acted as an agent of or on behalf of a foreign person in such activities;
  • is a government official or senior associate of such official responsible for, or complicit in, ordering or otherwise directing acts of significant corruption, including the expropriation of private or public assets for personal gain, corruption related to government contracts or the extraction of natural resources, bribery, or the facilitation or transfer of the proceeds of corruption to foreign jurisdictions; or
  • has materially assisted or provided financial, material, or technological support for, or goods or services in support of, such activities.

The authority to block and prohibit transactions in property and property interests shall not include the authority to impose sanctions on the importation of goods (any article, natural or man made substance, material, supply or manufactured product, including inspection and test equipment, excluding technical data).

The President shall, after receiving a request from the chairperson and ranking member of one of the appropriate congressional committees with respect to whether a foreign person has engaged in a prohibited activity:

  • determine if the person has engaged in such an activity; and
  • report to the chairperson and ranking member whether or not the President imposed or intends to impose specified sanctions against the person.

Sanctions shall not apply to an individual as necessary for law enforcement purposes, or to comply with the Agreement between the United Nations (U.N.) and the United States regarding the U.N. Headquarters or other applicable international obligations of the United States.

The President may terminate sanctions under specified conditions.

The Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor may submit to the Department of State the names of foreign persons who may meet the sanctions criteria.

(Sec. 4) The President shall report to Congress annually regarding each foreign person sanctioned, the type of sanctions imposed, and the reason for their imposition.

Many of the names on the list with the Department of the Treasury have ties to the Clinton Foundation.

According to THIS  article by Radio Free Europe, names on the list are also “Crime Bosses from Russia” who have a history of scandalous behavior, including money laundering.

It looks like the end of 2017 is going to bring a shift in the FBI’s investigation into Russian Collusion.  More sanctions are expected in the last remaining days of December.

Nielsen: 10,000 of 12,000 Detained Kids Came WITHOUT Their Parents

Published

Homeland Security secretary Kirstjen Nielsen revealed Monday that 10,000 of the 12,000 children detained at the border came to the border without parents with him, smacking down the mainstream media narrative that the Trump administration is tearing many families apart out of callous disregard for illegal immigrants.

The illegal immigrant child-detention program that was criticized during the Obama administration is a policy that President Donald Trump is trying to end, pressuring Democrats to get on board with an immigration bill that funds his Wall and creates merit-based immigration among other policy planks.

People were impressed:

It is also important to note that Border Patrol separates children from adults if they suspect the children are not actually related to the adults. Why? Because human trafficking is a persistent problem and cartels and other smugglers try to use kids to get more people across the border — or they try to sell the kids into human slavery.

We reported:

San Diego’s chief Border Patrol agent Rodney Scott said Monday that the Border Patrol separates children from the adults they are with if there are concerns that the kids are being human-trafficked.
Scott revealed that oftentimes traffickers “recycle” children in order to get illegal alien grown-ups over the Southern border into the United States.

“OOPS! A media outlet slipped & printed the truth today!,” Ann Coulter declared, showing people that the media is not being forthright and truthful when reporting on the supposed border separation program.

Santorum To CNN Panel: Why Don’t You Invite The Migrants To Live At Your House?

Published

on

Rick Santorum challenged Ana Navarro and other left-wing CNN panelists to invite the migrants coming over the border to their own houses.

It seems unlikely that Navarro or the other TV personalities would be willing to take Santorum up on his offer.

Big League Politics reported:

Over the Easter holiday, Americans across the country were shocked to hear of a caravan of Central Americans moving across Mexico with the goal of illegally entering the United States. The group behind the caravan, Pueblo Sin Fronteras, meaning people without borders, pledges to break immigration law in order to provide “refuge” for thousands of Central Americans.

The funding behind the group is unknown, but on their website they solicit funds through PayPal, despite their illegal activity directly breaking PayPal’s acceptable use policy.

But while the funding of the group running the caravan is unknown, it is known who is funding some of the organizations supporting them. Mother Jones is a left-wing news organization, and after news broke of the caravans, they labeled those opposed to the caravan as “trolls.” In their article, they mince words to make the attempted illegal immigrant criminals sound like nothing more than peaceful migrants.

After following the money, it becomes clear where Mother Jones’ agenda lies. A report from CNS News shows that Mother Jones has received immense funding from George Soros through the The Foundation for National Progress, which has received over $1 million from George Soros.

George Soros has a clear incentive for groups like Pueblo Sin Fronteras flooding into the United States. He has been pushing for more open immigration laws around the world, resulting in him being condemned by world leaders.
