Mainstream Press Makes Up Conspiracy Theories to Justify Acosta’s Actions

tinfoil hat against mass media

The mainstream press is working overtime to make sure that American public is propagandized into believing that CNN’s Jim Acosta was not out line when he put his hands on a female White House intern at Thursday’s White House press briefing.

Press outlets are claiming that the White House used a “manipulated video” to justify the yanking of Acosta’s press credentials. The video is “manipulated” inasmuch as it is zoomed in, and played on a loop. None of the footage is faked. Here is the video shared by Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders:

“We stand by our decision to revoke this individual’s hard pass. We will not tolerate the inappropriate behavior clearly documented in this video,” Sanders said.

Everyone saw the video. Acosta clearly put his hands on the intern. But the press is literally telling the American public that they did not see what they saw. It is a conspiracy theory of epic proportions.

Other news outlets are whitewashing the event.

Here is the account of the events from TechCrunch:

The journalist [Acosta] dodged and then blocked several attempts to take the microphone by using his arm and the side of his hand against the intern’s arm, addressing her with “pardon me ma’am” as he did so, and indicating that he was trying to ask Trump another question.

According to TechCrunch’s account, Acosta did not lay his hands on the intern. Instead he “us[ed] his arm and the side of his hand against the intern’s arm.” This is precisely this type of weasel-wording that foments distrust of the media by the American people.

Acosta himself says the account is a lie:

MSNBC completely left out Acosta’s role in the interaction, instead shaming the intern for trying to take the mic from him at the direction of the leader of the free world.

“BREAKING: White House aide grabs and tries to physically remove a microphone from CNN Correspondent Jim Acosta during a contentious exchange with President Trump at a news conference,” the outlet said.

This should not be a controversial issue. Acosta, after two years of whining, grandstanding and bickering with Trump forcibly touched a White House house intern. Backing him is a shameless ploy by the press, just when the American public thought that they could not possibly stoop lower.
