Majority of Voters Believe Biden is Too Old for Re-Election

According to a Rasmussen poll, 30% of likely United States voters are very confident that President Joe Biden is physically and mentally capable of carrying out the roles that come with being the president of the US. An additional 21% indicated that they are somewhat confident in Biden’s ability, whereas 10% are not very confident and 37% are not all confident.

Should Biden be re-elected in 2024, he would be 86 years old once his second term ends in 2029. 59% of voters believe 86 is too old to be president, compared to only 27% who indicated it’s not, whereas an additional 14% are unsure if 86 is too old.

52% of Democrat voters believe 86 is too old to be president, in addition to 71% of Republican voters and 54% of independent voters.

51% of Democrat voters are very confident that Biden is physically and mentally capable of carrying out the functions that come with being the president of the US. Only 12% of Republicans and 27% of independent voters hold that level of confidence. 62% of Republican voters, 14% of Democrat voters, and 37% of independent voters are not confident in Biden being able to carry out the duty of being president.

50% of white voters, 64% of black voters, and 45% of other non-black minorities are at least somewhat confident that Biden can continue assuming the role of the US presidency. However, majorities of every racial group agree that 86 is too old for an individual to be president.

As for income earners, voters making between $30,000 and $100,000 annually are most likely not to be confident that Biden is physically and mentally able to carry out the role of being president. Voters making over $100,000 annually are most likely to think that Biden is actually doing his job as president.

Regardless of Biden’s age, which should be a clear disqualifier for being president, his policies alone demonstrate that he should not continue being president. Maintaining open borders, funding a proxy war against a nuclear power (Russia), and destroying the economy are sufficient grounds for Biden to be relieved of the burden of holding higher office.
