Man Who Allegedly Shot and Killed Photographer At Louisville BLM Protest is Charged Left-Wing Rioter

A man who allegedly shot and killed a photographer at a Louisville Black Lives Matter protest was recently arrested for his riotous participation in a previous left-wing protest event, dispelling any notion that Steve Lopez was a right-winger opposed to the movement.
Lopez, 23, was charged with murder and first-degree wanton endangerment, with the former involving the shooting death of 27-year old photographer Tyler Gerth. Louisville Police responded to reports of multiple gunshots being fired in Jefferson Square Park, where ongoing Black Lives Matter protests had been occurring.
Lopez had apparently been a regular attendee of BLM protest events, having been seen on numerous instances in the very same park participating in events. Court records detail that Lopez was one of 17 BLM protestors arrested in June 17th, having been charged with inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia. At the time of his arrest, police noted that Lopez was in possession of a handgun and two loaded magazines.
Louisville Metropolitan Police are claiming to possess video footage of Lopez pointing a handgun in the air and firing two shots, before pointing the gun at an encampment set up at the park and opening fire.
A spokesperson for the Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression is describing Lopez as having been involved in numerous ‘altercations’ at the park, lending credence to circulating theories that Lopez was homeless and upset with the presence of individuals preventing him from taking up residence in the park.
Despite sensational Twitter claims that a right-wing white supremacist had committed the shooting at the Louisville BLM event, it appears all but certain the apparent perpetrator was a deranged, and possibly mentally ill, leftist.
