Manhattan DA Announces He Will Let Rioters and Looters Off Without Charges ‘In the Name of Justice’

Rule of law is being replaced with rule by mob.

Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance, Jr. announced on Friday that he will be letting rioters and looters off without charges who have participated in the recent bedlam resulting from the ongoing Black Lives Matter uprising.

“The prosecution of protesters charged with these low-level offenses undermines critical bonds between law enforcement and the communities we serve. Days after the killing of George Floyd, our nation and our city are at a crossroads in our continuing endeavor to confront racism and systemic injustice wherever it exists,” Vance said in a statement.

Vance made it clear that his office will continue to “evaluate and decline to prosecute other protest-related charges where appropriate.” He made it clear in his words that he is on the side of the mob that has looted and rioted in the New York City streets for days.

“Our office has a moral imperative to enact public policies which assure all New Yorkers that in our justice system and our society, black lives matter and police violence is a crime. We commend the thousands of our fellow New Yorkers who have peacefully assembled to demand these achievable aims, and our door is open to any New Yorker who wishes to be heard,” he added.

Democrats in the New York legislature have lobbied Vance to refuse to prosecute the looters and rioters. He is succumbing to their pleas, as the rule of law is no more in the Empire State.

“Systemic reform has to include our treatment of protesters,” said State Senator Brad Hoylman, Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee. “There’s nothing unlawful about a New Yorker exercising their First Amendment rights.”

Here are some of the scenes from riots in New York City over the past several days:

Even before the riots, New York City was rapidly descending into a hellhole where criminals were being given free reign to prey upon society:

Since 2019, New York City has experienced a considerable growth in crime.

The Daily Mail reported that major crimes rose by 22.5 percent in February according to NYPD data. This was accompanied by a 7.1 percent increase in shootings, robbery, assault, burglary, grand larceny, and grand larceny auto crimes.

According to Fox5, police are blaming criminal justice reforms for this uptick in crime.

Reports indicate that there were 16,343 major crimes reported in the first two months of 2020 compared to 13,648 during the same period in 2019. This marks an increase of 2,695.

During the first 58 days of 2020, 482 people who were previously arrested for committing felonies such as robbery or burglary were arrested again for committing an additional 846 crimes.

35 percent, or 299, of those were arrested for committing the following major crimes: Murder, rape, robbery, felony assault, burglary, grand larceny, and grand larceny auto.

Law enforcement officials claim that all of the suspects who had been arrested would have usually been incarcerated prior to the passage of new bail reform laws.

On January 1, 2020, New York State introduced comprehensive criminal justice legislation, which included the abolition of cash bail for most misdemeanors and nonviolent felonies, such as robbery.

As of now, judges are required to let individuals charged with such crimes go free without cash bail.

New York City is embracing anarcho-tyranny, and the result could be hell for law-abiding citizens living in that God-forsaken town.

Minnesota Governor Asking President Trump to Declare Riots a Federal Disaster In Hope of Receiving Bailout Funds

Weren’t they peaceful protestors?

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is requesting that President Donald Trump declare the recent rounds of race riots in Minneapolis a federal emergency, so that the state may access federal bailout funds intended for communities affected by disasters.

Governor Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey largely stood by idly as race rioters destroyed and damaged more than 700 buildings in the riots, which occurred after the controversial death of George Floyd during a questionable arrest at the hands of the Minneapolis police department. The property damage from the widespread riots is estimated to range in the tens of millions, and Frey is already pushing a federal bailout to repair the damages enabled by his unwillingness to prevent criminality and support of the rioters’ “message.”

Governor Walz referenced the victims of the riots in a statement requesting the bailout, callously ignoring that the victims of the riots were not only victimized by criminal riots, but simply ignored in their hour of need by state and local officials unwilling to confront left-wing criminality in the name of “justice.”

We’re asking our federal partners to step up and help our communities recover, demanded Governor Walz. We need to come together to ensure Minnesotans who were victims of this destruction have access to critical infrastructure they need so they can go to the grocery store, pick up their medication, and live their lives. Together, we will rebuild.

The Governor’s estimate of property damage from the riots is considerably greater than what the mayor estimated, claiming that combined damages from the destruction could cost as much as $500 million.

In the new world of unabated criminality and violent destruction from vicious gangs in Democrat-controlled cities, Democrat officials will always be prepared to come cup in hand to American taxpayers with hopes of funding the repairs of the rioting that they enabled, allowed, and perhaps even tacitly supported. No responsibility or integrity.
