Matt Lauer’s Ex-Wife Makes Her Demands After Harassment Scandal

Matt Lauer’s ex-wife is demanding two houses and $20 million in cash from the longtime former host of NBC’s The Today Show.

Us Weekly reports that she’s getting the house plus the house in the Hamptons:

“The source explains that Roque, 51, is seeking two of her family homes with Lauer, 60, in the future divorce settlement —  their 40-acre house farm in Water Mill, New York, and their house in The Hamptons.

She is also “asking for a one-time cash payout of $20 million instead of requesting spousal support,” according to the source.

“If she does get the $20 million, Annette won’t ask for child support, but Matt will pay for major expenses for the kids, education, healthcare until they are 21,” the source told Us, adding that the pair’s New Zealand ranch will be sold and they will “share the profits.”

A source told Us Weekly in January that the disgraced talk show host and the former model, who share 16-year-old Jack, 14-year-old Romy and 11-year-old Thijs, had quietly “started the divorce process” in the aftermath of Lauer’s sexual misconduct scandal.”

US Weekly passage ends

Former Today Show host Matt Lauer faces divorce and public ruin for his years of alleged sexual impropriety in the newsroom — and for putting women in the workplace in the position of having to cover for him.

Lauer’s case proves yet again that high-profile women are oftentimes complicit in the wrongful behavior of high-profile men. Katie Couric is a prime example of this.

Katie Couric of Yahoo, formerly of broadcast television, made a remark about Matt Lauer’s behavior and also reportedly joked about Lauer’s not-so-secret affections for his NBC co-worker Ann Curry. Footage of a company roast of Lauer is particularly vile.

Now Couric is forced to apologize for her “joke” — the first step in her road to acknowledging her actions. (RELATED: Bill Maher Said It Was Okay To Make Unrequested Genital Contact).

Couric said that Matt Lauer pinched her “a lot”:

Reporter Ronan Farrow’s book is going to detail how the NBC network tried to block his story about the numerous sex abuse accusations against Harvey Weinstein, before The New Yorker eventually ran Farrow’s story.

It wasn’t just NBC. It was also Lisa Bloom, attorney daughter of Gloria Allred.

“I walked into the door at The New Yorker with an explosively reportable piece that should have been public earlier. And immediately, obviously, The New Yorker recognized that. And it is not accurate to say that it was not reportable. In fact, there were multiple determinations that it was reportable at NBC,” Farrow said.
