Eric Adams Trekked To El Paso To Declare New York City Has ‘No Room’ For More Illegal Migrants

New York Mayor Eric Adams has not stopped complaining about the busloads of illegal migrants being sent to his city under the Abbott-Ducey initiative.

While border towns like El Paso, Texas are seeing up to 1,000 illegal crossings in a single day, Adams is squawking about NYC not having enough “room.”

To make his point, Adams trekked to the Mexican border city of El Paso on Sunday.

“There is no room in New York,” the out-of-touch Democrat declared.

On December 27, 2022, Texas Governor Greg Abbott said that the state government has bused roughly 16,000 illegal aliens to sanctuary cities in 2022.

“Texas has bused over 15,900 migrants to sanctuary cities,” Abbott posted on Twitter. “ … We’re providing relief to local communities overwhelmed by President Biden’s open border policies.”

As Big League Politics reported, Abbott has sent busloads of at least 8,900 migrants to Washington, D.C., 4,900 to New York City, 1,500 to Chicago, and 630 to Philadelphia since April.

Given these numbers, it’s astonishing to watch Adams cast blame to Republicans instead of towards Democrats responsible for the ongoing Southern Border crisis.

Appears as though this messaging is tactfully shifting.

From Reuters:

Eric Adams, a Democrat, was also critical of the administration of Democratic U.S. President Joe Biden, saying “now is the time for the national government to do its job” about the immigrant crisis at America’s southern border.

… Adams’s trip to El Paso comes after he said the migrant influx into New York could cost the city as much as $2 billion, at a time when the city is already facing a major budget shortfall.

It’s stunning how impactful the illegal alien busings have been towards exposing the hypocrisies of so-called sanctuary cities like New York.

Even though “sanctuary city” – by its definition – means New York will not enforce immigration laws, it appears as though Adams (in addition to other Democrat officials of other sanctuary cities) are quickly changing their tune.

Adams could work with federal agencies to relocate the immigrants. But that would require going against the whole point of sanctuary cities. Which Adams seemingly is reluctant to do.

Looks like he will stick with the classic Democrat strategy of posturing and virtue signaling. Let’s see how that plays out with no signs of slowing down from Abbott.
