Mike Simpfenderfer CAGOP Candidate Says: “Give School Board $1.00 Salary”

Monday, a Republican candidate from Bellflower California, running for Assembly for the 58th district posted on Facebook that the Montebello Unified School District should earn $1.00 salary as a consequence of their corrupt behavior.

“The warning lights are blinking brighter by the month,” wrote Mike Simpfenderfer,  GOP Candidate and Victim Rights Advocate.

According to this article,  on July 23, 2018 Los Angeles CBS reported:

” Two high-ranking education administrators who said they were fired for exposing corruption in their Southland school district have been awarded over $3 million in their lawsuit against the agency.

Former superintendent of the Montebello Unified School District Susanna Contreras Smith was awarded $2.7 million in damages for what she claimed was a retaliatory termination for calling out “crony” contracts. Former chief financial and operations officer Cleve Pell received $567,665.”

According to Simpfenderfer, the School Board faces so many scandalous charges that he wants very firm consequences.

FROM HIS FACEBOOK POST

“The right course of action…IMMEDIATELY replace all MUSD Board of Education members who caused MUSD to lose the civil lawsuits. They either resign or face multiple civil lawsuits from teachers and taxpayers holding them accountable. If we want to change, turn up the accountability for stupidity.

IMMEDIATELY reduce total compensation of all MUSD Board of Education members to $1 a year until all ten financial indicators examined by the County are rated as healthy. This is about leadership during a time of crisis.

MUSD is in crisis while too many on the Board of Education have a deer in the headlight expression. We need leadership. Our kids and parents deserve leadership. This is a reason I am running to be next Member of the Assembly from the 58th Assembly District,” Simpfenderfer said.

The LATimes reported, “A special audit team is recommending that law enforcement investigate officials and employees of the Montebello Unified School District for potential fraud as well as misappropriation of funds and assets.

The recommendation is the latest blow to one of the larger school districts in Los Angeles County and one that faces serious financial problems.”

HIS TROUBLED OPPONENT, INCUMBENT CHRISTINA GARCIA

Simpfenderfer’s Democrat Opponent is so bad on covering up the School Board abuses that threaten to sink the entire School system there, that not even the Democrat-leaning Worker’s Union is willing to endorse her in the 58th district.

NO ENDORSEMENT FOR GARCIA

“The California Labor Federation has announced Labor’s endorsements for state and federal races and ballot measures for the November 6, 2018 general election.”
