Mitch McConnell Ignores Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Going To His Office
Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was not present and did not otherwise acknowledge Democrat congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez when she agitated at his office Wednesday.
Ocasio-Cortez and friends set off on a trip to McConnell’s Senate and leadership offices and to the Senate floor and cloak room to pressure McConnell to take up Democrat House bills to re-open the federal government without building President Trump’s border wall.
Democrats on the House floor spent Wednesday working through procedures to get to a new vote on a continuing resolution to fund the federal government through February 8.
Nancy Pelosi is currently facing harsh criticism for her decision to ignore the Angel families — family members of victims of illegal alien crime — who went to her office to urge her to fund President Trump’s wall.
We at the House are doing *our* job passing bills reopen government, so why won’t @senatemajldr do his?
We left to drop off letters to:
– His Sen Majority Leader office
– The GOP cloak room
– The Senate floor
– His Senate officeAnd he’s nowhere to be found. #WheresMitch? pic.twitter.com/jZcWei6PM7
