RV Selling Trump Merch Vandalized

A recreational vehicle owned by a family of President Donald J. Trump supporters was vandalized over the weekend in El Paso, Texas.

The RV was vandalized on Saturday, more than a month after President Trump held his historic rally in El Paso, Texas. The family believes the crime may have been inspired by their political views.

KTSM.com reported:

“We heard this bam and I said ‘what the heck was that,” Tina Marie Patterson-Mann and her family sold their house in Washington state to buy a recreational vehicle.

It’s not only their home but business as well. Their pit stop in the Borderland has lasted longer than expected due to high sales in the area.

They say an abrupt wake up called happened when they came out of the RV to discover broken windows, mirrors and headlights.

They told KTSM they understand people in the Borderland may not share the same political views, but say an attack to their home is more than just a prank, “I understand the fact that my family and I are the minute (small) minority here in El Paso. This is a motivated, political, racial crime,” Tina’s husband, Max Mann said.

The family has reported the incident to police and their insurance, and also said the act will “only encourage them more to sell Trump merchandise.”

This comes less than a week after Big League Politics reported on a similar case in Arizona, where a woman admitted to slashing the tires of an SUV because she saw a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat on the vehicle’s dashboard.

Big League Politics reported:

Nick Dugas told AZ Central says he was frustrated to see his vehicle had a flat tire, and that he grew more upset when he examined the tire to find a clean three inch cut that revealed his tire was not merely flat, but had been slashed.

His job as a security guard at the shopping center allowed him to immediately review video of the vandalism, which showed the attacker carrying a distinctive coffee cup from a nearby business. After inquiring at that business, he was able to give the woman’s description, name, and information to police.

The woman was cited for criminal damage, a Class  2 misdemeanor that can carry a $750 fine and up to four months in jail, after she fessed up to the crime.
