‘Most Dangerous Statement I’ve Ever Heard’: Congressman Reacts to FDA Adviser’s Suggestion to Use Kids as Guinea Pigs for Vaccines

Rep. Greg Murphy (R-NC) has called the FDA’s notion that children must be stuck with the COVID-19 vaccine to figure out if it is efficacious “literally the most dangerous statement I’ve ever heard in medicine.”

Murphy, a physician, is reacting to comments made by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) adviser Dr. Eric Rubin, who said that children need to be made into guinea pigs for the experimental jab.

“We’re never going to learn about how safe this vaccine is unless we start giving it. That’s just the way it goes. That’s how we found out about rare complications of other vaccines, like the rotavirus vaccine,” he said.

Murphy finds the ethical implications of this notion to be simply unfathomable.

“That is literally the most dangerous statement I’ve ever heard in medicine,” Murphy said during an appearance on NTD’s “Capitol Report.”

“How’s that going to sit with the average mom, the average parent that cares about their child? That they want their child experimented on?” he added.

Murphy does not believe there is any public health reason for children to be stuck with these shots considering the facts on COVID-19 and how it spreads.

“The vaccines that we have for children are measles, mumps, rubella, those things that we give kids, we have to have them before they go to school. And I agree with that, that’s fine. But the problem is, those are childhood diseases. COVID is not a childhood disease. It can affect children, but its lethality rate is infinitesimal compared to what it is in adults,” Murphy said.

“I just don’t understand why it’s being pushed on kids so much,” he added, speculating about a potential federal mandate for vaccines for kids to be able to attend public schools. “We don’t mandate that kids get the flu vaccine to go to school. We don’t mandate that kids have the HPV vaccine. So I just don’t understand the biology and the virology for this.”

Big League Politics has reported on the frantic push to get vaccines into children regardless of the side-effects it may have on the kids:

Two research papers conclude that California hospitals significantly overstated the number of children hospitalized for COVID-19, New York Magazine’s “Intelligencer” has reported.

Both papers were published in the journal Hospital Pediatrics. In a commentary accompanying the papers, University of California San Francisco’s Monica Gandhi and Amy Beck wrote that California hospital data “greatly [overestimated] the true burden of COVID-19 disease in children.”

“Taken together, these studies underscore the importance of clearly distinguishing between children hospitalized with SARS-CoV-2 found on universal testing versus those hospitalized for COVID-19 disease,” they wrote.

Gandhi told Intelligencer that although the papers only used data from California hospitals, “there is no reason to think these findings would be exclusive to California.”

“This sort of retrospective chart review will likely reveal the same findings across the country,” she said.

These studies add further weight to the claim that children are not in any sort of grave danger from COVID-19. Intelligencer notes that “the hospitalization numbers for children were already extremely low relative to adults—at the pandemic’s peak this winter, it was roughly ten times lower than for 18-to-49-year-olds and 77 times lower than those age 65 and up. But cutting the pediatric numbers by nearly half is a striking difference, making the actual rates vanishingly small.”

The vaccine regime is about violating the bodily autonomy of children.
