Musk Mocks Klaus Schwab’s ‘Master The Future’ Speech: ‘Are They Trying To Be The Boss Of Earth?’

Yesterday Big League Politics discussed CNN reporting on the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) waning influence over its globalization efforts as more nations focus on local issues due to ramifications from the war in Ukraine.

CNN Reports World Economic Forum Influence Is Waning As More Nations Focus On Localization

As stated, the WEF’s plans – which have gone relatively unnoticed by the public during the decades leading up to the world’s response to COVID-19 – have been under fire lately for being “out-of-touch.” 

Put differently, the organization’s plans are now being mocked by citizens across the globe. Not to mention Elon Musk who has reacted harshly to WEF chairman Klaus Schwab’s attempt to “master the future.”

“We couldn’t meet at a more challenging time,” Schwab declared during WEF’s summit in Davos, Switzerland yesterday.

“We are confronted with so many crises simultaneously. What does it need to master the future?” he added. 

“I think to have a platform, where all stakeholders of global society are engaged; governments, business, civil society, young generation, and I could go on, I think is a first step to meet all the challenges,” Schwab continued.

Musk shared his criticisms of Schwab’s statements on Twitter: 

‘Master the Future’ doesn’t sound ominous at all. How is WEF/Davos even a thing? Are they trying to be the boss of Earth!?

Other big names have weighed in to criticize the Davos “cultural leaders” who are responsible for leading the proponent known as “stakeholder capitalism.”

Amidst the backlash, former President Donald Trump’s 2018 speech at the WEF has been circulating the internet. 

In the clip below, Trump can be seen trashing the WEF’s entire life work. So it’s no wonder why the global elites wanted him out of office so badly.

As the WEF’s influence apparently wanes, it’s worth noting that the following prominent leaders and past attendees declined to attend the forum this year; Joe Biden, Xi Jinping, Narendra Modi, Emmanuel Macron, Rishi Sunak, and billionaire George Soros.

[The Gathering] looks increasingly out of date as the biggest war in Europe since 1945 deepens splits in the world economy.

The outlet goes on to state that this globalization fantasy is being taken less seriously by nations who are “moving supply chains closer to home” in light of the Ukraine war.

Yet the WEF’s first winter meeting in Davos since 2020 comes as economic heavyweights are playing by different rules, with companies moving supply chains closer to home, strategic stockpiling picking up pace and corporate executives who once extolled free trade appearing increasingly wary of rising geopolitical risks.

Schwab’s vision of a progressively interconnected global economy appears to be at a standstill because of the war. As tensions enhance between the world’s two biggest economies; the United States and China.
