Muslim Mayor of London Bashes Free Speech in Texas, Ignores U.K. Terror

On the same day the United Kingdom deported Canadian journalist Lauren Southern under the its National Terrorism Act, London Mayor Sadiq Khan bashed free speech at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference in Austin, Texas.

According to a Business Insider report, Khan took the stage to read a dozen hateful Tweets that were directed at him. His aim was to push big tech companies to do more to combat online “hate speech.”

Of course, “hate speech” does not legally exist in America. We are free, at least in theory, to say what we believe unequivocally. But there is a larger trend of online censorship being pushed by the radical left.

Khan is a Muslim, and the U.K. has a population of 35,000 jihadis, according to the EU’s security chiefHe fails to mind his own house, but comes to America whine about so-called hate. All the while, violent jihadists commit acts of terror in Britain.

The mayor’s display was a pathetic attempt to garner sympathy and portray himself as a victim of online bullying in order to goad Silicon Valley into restricting the speech of average people. In reality, Khan is one of the most powerful people in the West, and is hardly a victim in any sense of the word.

“Khan warned that tweets like the ones addressed to him send a message to minority children that if they don’t look a certain way or subscribe to the same establishment beliefs, they will grow up thinking there’s no path for them in high-profile careers,” the Business Insider report said.

Khan himself played the victim and then scapegoated “the children” saying, that it was in their best interest for your speech to be restricted.

“This isn’t about depriving people of free speech — this is about inciting hatred,” Kahn said.

Sure, Mayor Khan. And neither was detaining a journalist at the UK border and holding her as a potential terrorist.
